Putting her love on top! Beyonce turned her acceptance speech at the 2015 Grammys on Feb. 8 into a very public display of affection for her husband, Jay Z, and their young daughter, Blue Ivy.
Taking the stage to accept the golden gramophone for Best R&B Performance for her song “Drunk in Love,” the 33-year-old superstar — who looked smashing in custom black Proenza Schouler — couldn’t help getting a little sentimental.
“Wow, thank you guys so much. This is such an honor,” she began. “I’d like to thank God…This has been such an incredible year. I love y’all.”
She went on to thank Jay, who accompanied her to the show, and Blue, 3. “I’d like to thank my beloved husband. I love you deep,” she gushed. “My daughter who’s watching, Blue, I love you.”
Her final shout-out went to her always-loyal fans. “I’d like to say thank you to my Beyhive,” she said. “Thank you guys for riding so hard.”
As Us Weekly exclusively revealed last week, the pop diva is set to perform at the 57th annual awards show. She’ll sing “Take My Hand Precious Lord” before John Legend and Common take the stage to sing their Oscar-nominated song “Glory,” from the soundtrack for the movie Selma.
