Brad Pitt is nearly done with acting -- but what about baby making?

In a new interview with Australia's 60 Minutes, the Moneyball star, now 47, reveals how much longer he'd like to continue acting onscreen.

"Three years," he says, explaining, "I am really enjoying the producing side and development of stories and putting those pieces together...Getting stories to the plate that might have had a tougher times otherwise."

The star is less definitive about expanding his brood of six kids with love Angelina Jolie. "You know, I don't know that we're finished," he tells 60 Minutes of conceiving (or adopting) more kids to join Maddox, 10, Pax, 7, Zahara, 6, Shiloh, 5, and Vivienne and Knox, 3.

"I don't know yet. I don't know."

Jolie's love of six-plus years adds that he relishes the sleepless night and chaos of parenting such a large group.

"Those late nights are so fun when one of them's up or those mornings when they get up and make pancakes or something," he says. "That's what it's about."

The star also had an unusual answer when asked if he's happy these days. "I think happiness is overrated, truthfully. I do," he says. "I think sometimes you're happy, sometimes you're not. There's too much pressure to be happy. I don't know. I don't really give a sh--. I know I will be at times and I know I won't be at times. Satisfied, at peace, those would be more goals for myself."

Meant to say *I have a magazine with it from last November with her interview

Well, he should definitely retire. I have never seen someone in Hollywood age so horribly. Clearly, he can't do it all, cuz It's wearing on him horribly. Plus, he's not a very good actor. Omg. Brangelina fans wish Jen was a skank who "stole a guy from his girlfriend". Justin was already single when wonderlust started filming heidi's mom was giving interviews and was calling him heidi's "ex-boyfriend," I actually have a magazine from November with one of her interviews. And he and Jen didn't start dating until several months after filming started, so clearly he was single.

Brad Pitt is a very good actor and I love all your movies also so is your wife, may God bless you both and family.

I agree Candice, but they excuse it by saying that they weren't actually married so it's okay. I don't think any of them would feel the same if it was themselves or a close friend or relative's relationship that had been destroyed. But some people are determined to let Jennifer off the hook for anything she does. She could probably run over a group of school kids walking down the road, back over them, and then run over them again and they'd still find a way to try to explain it away so she's not the bad guy.

I hope they don't have anymore kids unless it's through adoption. They've already passed replacement rate, though not intentionally, with the twins, so anything more than that would be too much. And if he wants to retire, why not? He can always do more if he chooses and he's doing plenty well for himself financially. I'm sure he can afford it.

Do you mean to tell me, he's not 50 yet? I thought he was older than that. As for him and Angelina why don't they just fade away they are so old Hollywood. Look at all the new and up coming talent. Golden Couple my foot, has beens is more like it.

it's not possible.i bet it's a joke with george clooney . will say more stupid ? no?

They can afford to quit acting, they are rich and talented. If family first and growing that relationship, that's not a bad idea, beside it's good for both to focus more in their respected talent. Producing and helping other star to be in the lime light,Brad know how to run his business, and earned more than a movie star paid. since this two get together,Brad become more financially stable. They are will never be miss, for eyes is always will be with them and children..Specially Ms. Jolie who is active with her work at UNHCR. Acting is in their blood,so I don't think so they soon will quit.

I believe Brad Pitt is born in December of 1993, so he is practically 48. So shouldn't that be 2 years when he gives up acting? I don't have Brad Pitt, but I think he's a bit over-rated, just like Tom Cruise. And when was the last time women swooned for DiCaprio? He's a good actor, better than Pitt and Cruise, but DiCaprio has lost his hotness that he once had. His new move is nothing more than an attempt for that Oscar nod that he never got.

Everyone's still bashing Brad and Angelina, when Jen did the same thing by busting up the relationship the man she's with was in.

  • November 14, 2011 - 7:40pm Doc Debra Sharpley

Wow! some people are so obnoxious about famous people. Brad Pitts is retiring and he wants to spend more time with his family. He earned his life through acting and now he want to enjoy the rest of it through being there for his family. How horrible is that! Famous people are famous because their lives were meant to be that a way, It could of be me with that life too. I am happy for him and his wife. I hope they can cherish the rest of the years they have left together.

I think, like George Clooney, Pitt has an eye for good material, but it's a pity he'd sacrifice all his acting life entirely; he's not just a pretty face but has real presence and emotional investment (Kalifornia, Seven, 12 Monkeys). I'm hoping--expecting--that he'll miss it enough to just be more choosy about what he takes on. It doesn't all have to be cavorting around in Babylonian leathers...

Awesome! This will give him time to finally shower! And of course be with his kids. I never though the was a very good actor, and the only times I ever watched a movie with him in it was when other great actors made up for him being cast. I've yet to see a movie where he is the lead cuz he doesn't know how to portray emotion without it coming off as really fake. Personally, I don't think it's hard to be happy, it's so easy and comes so naturally. I also don't find any pressure to be happy. I'm happy everyday, not always the entire day, but yep, everyday. It's kind of a sad notion to know that apparently so many people are unhappy and find it burdening.

Brad Pitt has and will continue to exceed in anything he tries.

  • November 14, 2011 - 5:38pm Karen Herzog

i could care less. i don't like him anyway.

  • November 14, 2011 - 5:20pm Mitch Gapol

I would be sad if Jennifer Anniston quit acting because she's a descent woman. I just like Jen better than Angie.....

  • November 14, 2011 - 5:18pm Jan Far

    I'm so freaking upset...not

  • November 14, 2011 - 4:27pm Kristina Loss-Gunnoe

I wish he would retire NOW! He is a sh***ty actor and I never watched anything he was in on purpose! His only true claim to fame is being married to Beautiful, talented women...

  • November 14, 2011 - 4:19pm Wanda K Bailey

It's about time, I quit watching his movies when he became a cheater and became to full of himself along with his cheating partner, good-riddance

  • November 14, 2011 - 3:47pm Linda Falke

Angel: So what if "millions" of other men and women cheat on a daily basis? That doesn't make it okay, and that certainly doesn't excuse what Brad and Angelina did. Stop attempting to justify the adultery that Brad committed with Angelina, because it is not justifiable. There is no valid excuse for cheating on someone, whether they be a person you're dating or your spouse. NO EXCUSE.
