Bristol Palin: I'm Not a Diva on DWTS

Bristol Palin is no dance floor diva.
During an appearance on The Tonight Show With Jay Leno Friday, the 19-year-old Alaskan squashed rumors that she's behaving like a diva during rehearsals for Dancing With the Stars.

"Literally, I was thinking about it today: the only thing I've ever asked for is a velcro mic pac so I don't have to wear it on my belt loop," she said. "That's the only thing I've ever asked for."
After three days of rehearsals with dance pro Mark Ballas, Palin admits that she still feels "so uncoordinated and I don't have any rhythm."
Palin -- who works as an office manager at a dermatologist's office in Anchorage, Alaska -- says she was approached to be on the show via text message.

"I was sitting at my desk and I got a text message like, 'Hey, want to join Dancing With the Stars?' and I was like, 'Yeah!'" she recalled. "Within the next week, we had signed the contract. Some people are like, 'Do you really want to be in the spotlight?' but I'm having fun with it."
Throughout the interview, Palin also took a few digs at ex Levi Johnston, 20, father to the couple's 2-year-old son Tripp.

"He's changed. Night and day, definitely," she said. "The guy I fell in love with was a hard-working Alaskan man that didn't want to wear straight-legged jeans and get chased by Radar."
Palin also said she isn't sure if she'd vote for Johnston, who is rumored to be running for the mayor of Wasilla (a position her mother Sarah previously held).

"He needs to move to Wasilla [first]," she deadpanned. "He needs to get his G.E.D."
Adds Palin, "I'm not disappointed. I'm not heartbroken. I tried to make it work for my son. It didn't work and I realize that we're not meant to be and I'm just focused on being a good mom."

Half of the people that go on this show can't dance. I can't wait to see AS*ELHOFF make a blubbering idiot of himself. :)
Does this actually qualify as "reality". I call it a talent show. Anyway, semantics really. Bottom line: I think she is smart for doing this; why should the paps and reporters get to make money off of their photos of her (not saying she's Angelina quality, but still). The paps and reporters make money off pics and dumb stories of her regardless if true so why shouldn't she capitalize on whatever "fame" she has acquired...You can't unring the bell now. Yes, her fame is brought on because her mother ran for office, but it is not her fault. I say take whatever money comes your way while you still can (as long as it is respectable). And DWTS is no Playgirl. Seeing as DWTS is basically a talent show she probably won't be on it for long. And LESLIE BOYD: How do you know she slept with Levi during their brief reunion? Unless she is pregnant again or Levi blabs about it (which would be 2nd nature) none of us knows. I seriously doubt she woudld put herself in a position to garner that much derision from her family and the public again...I am sure it was just so enjoyable the first time around!

Leslie, you're judging the daughter based on your political bias against the mother. Should the daughter pass up an opportunity to put money in the bank, way more money than she otherwise could earn, to raise her child? That would be ridiculous! The liberal Media blitz on the Palin family caused her great harm, she might as well get something positive out of it.
Really wouldn't you go on the show if you were asked? I know people would be saying who the hell is that???.. How is SHE a STAR??? but I would still go on. I am honest about it, because I would never be asked. Bristol is a different story though she said not too long ago that she didn't want that life, and she said she broke up with Levi because he is exploiting his ties with her family. Heck her entire family is exploiting it. I still don't understand why American women would think her mother is someone to tie their star too. She frightens me.

I still think that the whole 2nd engagement was a publicity stunt. I also feel she is a hypocrite. She attacked him for doing a reality show yet SHE is doing a REALITY SHOW! She kept saying she did NOT want to be in the spotlight yet she does the OPPOSITE and GETS IN the spotlight! Her mother is just as bad at wanting IN the spotlight. Bristol is NOT a good roll model! She says 1 thing and does a completely different thing. She has contradicted herself so much in the last few months of interviews. A speaker for abstinance yet having sex with her baby's daddy... Yeah such a great role medel!!! Sry but I don't think ANY mom in her right mind wants her kid to be a hypocrite like Bristol is! I feel sorry for her dance instructer! Hope she is voted off the 1st week well wait 2nd thought make that week number 2!! I hope thsat Jersey shore loser is voted off first!!!
