Christina Aguilera: I Don't Hate Lady Gaga!

Attention, pop diva fans: there is no feud between Christina Aguilera and Lady Gaga.
Since Lady Gaga, 24, burst onto the music scene in 2008, Aguilera, 29, has made a few speculated-upon remarks about the "Bad Romance" singer.
In a new interview with Out magazine, Aguilera calls Gaga a "newcomer" and says "I think she's really fun to look at."

Aguilera's new video "Not Myself Tonight" led some to suggest she was copying Gaga's look and sound. "That, in particular, is not even worth wasting the breath to comment on," Aguilera said in a recent radio interview. "I've been around for over a decade and I think my work speaks for myself."
Finally, on Monday, Aguilera tried to quiet the feud talk once and for all.

"It is very easy for comments to be taken out of context and create unnecessary drama-especially between us women," she wrote on her website. "So I would like to tell you all directly so my words can not be misconstrued to sell someone else’s story…I have absolutely nothing against Lady Gaga or any other female artist in this business."
Aguilera adds: "I think she is great, and I appreciate any woman fearless enough to go against the norm. She has earned her success with hard work and a clear focus and I have nothing but respect for that. There is room for all of us on everyone's iPods."

"This is not the first time I have been unfairly pitted against another female artist," says the one-time rival of Britney Spears, "but it will be the last time I comment on the matter."

32All u haters for christina aguilera need to get something straight! Christina was inspired by electronica in 2008. Thus her single "Keeps Gettin' Better" was born. Realize that her video was released and single released before poker face (which was Lady Gaga's 1st electronica hit! So just stop. You put so much pressure on all these artist. If i had to blame anyonw it would be Perez Hilton because he is the media sh!t-talker of them all. Just stop being so transparent and listen to the whole album and not just the 1st single GEEZ!! LOL... oh little Joe... Lady Gaga is too "teenybopper"? Do you even know what the word means? First of all, it was Christina Aguilera who was the Mickey Mouse Club kid. She was the teen queen. Overrated would be the perfect word to sum up Christina Aguilera. Lady Gaga is an accomplished musician and songwriter. I don't see Christina in ANYTHING Lady Gaga does. People may say Lady Gaga copies Madonna, but Christina copies Mariah Carey even right down to being an record industry robot. Put a fork in Christina cause she's done and her time is up.
I'm sorry but Lady Gaga's music is wayy to tacky and cheesy/teenybopper for me to even listen to. But thats what alot of people like I suppose. I actually like Christina Aguilera, that underrated Latina singer can totally rock out! and she still manages to avoid the public eye, classy.
You're right, Karima. Gaga is no Aguilera. Gaga actually has a personality and awesome pop sensibility. Aguilera is a great Mariah Carey clone though!
christina puts her heart and soul into her music, her voice is also unique, unmistakable and daring. lady gaga is more of a fad thing for me, she's unique and cool but she aint no aguilera!

I do not like Xtina or her music, never have. I can say the same for Ms Spears! I LOVE Gaga, and want to applaud her for never even bothering to comment on this "feud". I also must give props to Xtina for nipping this thing in the bud, she showed that she is somewhat of a lady, and over her past "high school" antics. The things she said about Gaga earlier were low, bot I am positive that Gaga would go along with ending this Perez Hilton createde ridiculous shamble of a fight1 Perez sucks, can't he just GO AWAY?!?!?!?!
If there wasnt any christina aguilera then there would not be Gaga. Christina broke the mould with Dirrty, she changed it all for female artists thereafter. People are really stupid and should look at what Christina has done. Artists come in due time, there is no way the industry could have got to the likes of Gaga without the britney and christina phase. Think people, use you head, and also look at who is one of the greatest singers of all time in rolling stone magazine.

Good for Christina....I believe her...the media always puts words in others peoples mouths...and tries to stir up things just to sell a magazine..what a shame..if the media and the paparazzi would treat celebrities better..they might just want to talk more with them...

I've never been a real big Christina fan, I like some of her songs on the radio but wouldn't by her albumn. I like Lady Gaga much better but I don't think Christina is copying off of anyone. It's hard to be truly original these days.
I love Christina for trying to end the whole feud. I am completely sick of hearing Xtina vs. Gaga comments. They are biased and ridiculous. Gaga and Xtina are different artists and they should be allowed to make music without people pushing them against each other.
Christina should sue Perez Hilton for Defamation of Character. She would have a really good case.
