‘Dancing With the Stars’ Contestant Nyle DiMarco Gets Hit in Face, Needs Stitches After Rehearsal Mishap

America’s next top patient! Dancing With the Stars season 22 contestant Nyle DiMarco gets stitches after a rehearsal mishap in the premiere episode on Monday, March 21, as seen in Us Weekly‘s exclusive sneak peek.

The ABC competition series’ clip shows DiMarco, 26 — who won America’s Next Top Model cycle 22 in December — impressing dance partner Peta Murgatroyd by taking off his shirt before they start rehearsing.

“Yes!” the dance pro quips about him disrobing. “I’m totally fine with this.”

However, things quickly get tense when her elbow clips him just above the eye during a speedy spin move.

“Oh, my God,” says Murgatroyd, who nabbed the Mirrorball Trophy with Donald Driver in season 14. “I’m so sorry. I have never hit anyone that badly in my whole life.”

Later, the hunky model (who is Deaf) returns from the hospital and tells the camera through an interpreter, “So I just left the hospital. I had to get four stitches on my left eyebrow. I definitely realized today that dancing is definitely a full-contact sport — and I like it!”
