Kirstie Alley: I Didn't Know How Old I Was Pre-DWTS
Light on her feet?
Kirstie Alley told Ryan Seacrest Monday morning that she's eating a little more than 1,400 calories a day in preparation for this week's Dancing with the Stars season finale.
"I'm eating a little more," she said. "You know, when you're doing all this dancing, you're not very hungry. But you have to eat enough that you don't like slip out and fall off the stage and stuff."
The former Fat Actress star told Us Weekly in March she had "30 or 40 more pounds to lose." By April, she told Us she was "almost a six 6!"
"I started out in a size 12, then an 8, and then I think next week I'll be in a 6," she said. "The real size I want to be in is probably a 4 or a 6. That's where I look best."
But Alley's DWTS partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy didn't think eating 1,400 calories a day was enough to sustain the duo's intense rehearsal schedule. "He's probably right," she admitted, about Chmerkovskiy's suggestion to up her daily calorie count to 2,000.
Alley, 60, will compete for the Mirror Ball Trophy Monday night against Chelsea Kane, 22, and Hines Ward, 35.
"I feel sort of ageless," Alley quipped. "In fact, I didn't even know how old I was until I did this show and they started broadcasting [my age] over the universe every 30 seconds. I was like, 'People, shut the f**k up! We get it!'"
