Bobbi Kristina Brown, Nick Gordon Argued Hours Before Bathtub Incident, His Mom Tells Dr. Phil During Intervention

Nick Gordon, Dr. Phil
Nick Gordon's mother Michelle Gordon revealed to Dr. Phil that her son had argued with Bobbi Kristina Brown hours before she was found unresponsive in the bathtub; Plus, he broke down crying during the intervention.

One scary intervention. Nick Gordon's mother Michelle Gordon opened up to Dr. Phil about the events leading up to Bobbi Kristina Brown's bathtub incident on Jan. 31, sharing intimate details about the night before.

Gordon's mom told Dr. Phil that her son, 25, and Brown, 22, had partied with a pal on the eve of the incident, Friday, Jan. 30, returning to their Roswell, Ga. home early Saturday. It was then that their conversation got heated, Michelle explained.

"Nick walked away from the argument," she said in the exclusive TV interview. "He went to another bedroom to fall asleep.” Meanwhile, his longtime love "went up to her room and drew a bath."

The couple's friend Max Lomas found Bobbi facedown and unresponsive in a bathtub after the cable repair man said he needed access to her room. Lomas called out to Gordon, who then administered CPR on the music scion until paramedics arrived on the scene.

"Nicholas was able to do the CPR on her for 15 minutes," his mother shared. "The police arrived, and they didn't help him. No one helped him until the EMTs got there."

Gordon has been grappling with guilt ever since the incident, turning to alcohol and drugs to help cope while Bobbi Kristina remains in a medically induced coma at the Emory University Hospital. "He has blamed himself for the condition she's in," Michelle said on Dr. Phil.

She also revealed that her son has tried — twice — to take his own life. "He has said to me many times that he is going to kill himself," she said, revealing that he's consumed Xanax, alcohol, and prescription sleeping pills. "Two weeks ago, he tried… He was able to throw up pills."

"He cannot bear not being with Krissy, by her side," his mom told Dr. Phil. "He's dealing with it by drinking."

Gordon's behavior was indeed "volatile," as described by the psychiatric expert to the Associated Press on Monday. Dr. Phil told the AP that Gordon was "clearly in an altered state of consciousness" and exhibited bizarre behavior during filming for the special. At one point Nick yelled at cameras: "I would never hurt anybody!"

He also broke down into tears during his sit down with Dr. Phil. "I feel like… I miss Krissy and Whitney," Gordon said in the special. "Please don't put this on TV… me crying, me being weak."

During filming, Dr. Phil told Gordon: "Nick, you’re out of control. You've threatened suicide. You deserve to get some help because if you don’t, you know you’re going to wind up dead.”

Gordon checked into rehab last week. "I’ll be clean, I’ll be sober, I’ll be a good person," he promised Dr. Phil before seeking treatment.
