There's a brand-new real housewife on the OC block!

When season 7 of Bravo's Real Housewives of Orange County premieres in 2012, the regular cast will be joined by a mysterious new cast member, and as Gretchen Rossi tells Us Weekly, the woman sure had it tough when first entering the OC fray.

"The first party [where we were all together,] we were pretty hard on her," Rossi told Us at Sunday's Rolling Stone AMA after party held at the Rolling Stone Restaurant and Lounge in Los Angeles and sponsored by Lady Foot Locker's VIP Program and Ciroc Ultra Premium Vodka. "We just gave her a hard time and every time she said something we'd just be rolling our eyes or doing something, but nothing too harsh. We don't make her go running in her underwear around the street or anything like that!"

Though Rossi and the new wife -- whose identity has yet to be confirmed -- got off to a slow start, Rossi tells Us they're getting along just fine at the moment. "At first I didn't like her, but now I really like her," Rossi says. "As I've gotten to know her the friendship has blossomed. She's blunt and she's very straight forward yet she has a very classic and sophisticated appeal to her. I think the audience is really going to like her. "

The new housewife will replace Peggy Tanous, who left the series in October in order to distance herself from the "negative energy of certain cast members."

While Bravo has yet to confirm the identity of the woman set to replace Tanous, various reports speculate the new cast member is Heather Dubrow, a mother of four and the wife of plastic surgeon Terry Dubrow, who appeared on The Swan and Bridalplasty.
