Pam Dawber, Robin Williams of Mork and Mindy to Reunite on The Crazy Ones
A very Ork-y reunion! Former Mork & Mindy couple Pam Dawber and Robin Williams will share the small screen once again -- 32 years later! -- his spring, when Dawber guest stars on an episode of The Crazy Ones, Williams' hit CBS sitcom. The network says in a press release that Dawber will play a "free-spirited author" who goes on a date with Williams' character, Simon Roberts.
"It will be a joy to work with her again," Williams gushes. "It's a dream come true. Williams and Dawber, both 62, played roomies-turned spouses on Mork & Mindy-- about an Earthling woman, Mindy (Dawber) who eventually falls for an alien, Mork (Williams) from the planet Ork -- which ran on ABC from 1978 to 1982.
"I'm so excited to be able to see and work with Robin again," Dawber adds. "I hear The Crazy Ones set is a very happy one. I know it'll be a great week!" (The smash series also stars Sarah Michelle Gellar as Williams' ad exec daughter.)
The episode will be Dawber's first film or TV project since 1999, when she starred in TV movies I'll Remember April and Don't Look Behind You. Also known for her late 80s sitcom My Sister Sam, Dawber has been married to NCIS star Mark Harmon for nearly 27 years; they share two sons.
