Aca-scuse me? The first trailer for the upcoming Pitch Perfect sequel is finally here!

The Barden Bellas are back on the big screen after the surprise success of the 2012 comedy about college a cappella. The celebrated musical flick brought in $113 million in the global box office on a $17 million budget and earned a 2015 sequel.

Pitch Perfect favorites returned for the second installment as star Anna Kendrick opens the preview singing a slowed version of her chart-topping "Cups." Kendrick, 29, is soon joined by vets Brittany Snow, Rebel Wilson, Hana Mae Lee, Ester Dean, and Alexis Knapp, among others.

After winning nationals in the first movie, Barden University's Bellas head to the next level, facing off against international a cappella groups at the world championships. The lady singers come into competition once again with their hometown rivals, the Barden Treblemakers (played by original stars Skylar Astin, Adam DeVine, and Ben Platt).

Director Elizabeth Banks, who is making her first turn helming a movie with Pitch Perfect 2, makes her on-camera reprise as college a cappella commentator Gail Abernathy-McKadden, with her cohort John Smith (played by John Michael Higgins).

Juxtaposed with dance showdowns that would make Step Up stars envious, the championships come to a head, complete with Bella sleepovers, Wilson's famed comedic chops, and a little light magic.

Watch the first preview above and catch Pitch Perfect 2 in theaters on May 15, 2015!
