Sarah Palin is sticking up for her daughter Bristol.

"Ah yes...Bristol-the-diva! Silly critics! See her diva-ish-ness," Palin Tweeted Thursday, as web chatter continued to mount over her daughter's controversial placement in the final three of Dancing with the Stars.

The former Alaska governor isn't the only one in Bristol's corner.

DWTS alum and other celebs gave plenty of sympathy to the 20-year-old single mom at Us Weekly's Hot Hollywood: Stars Who Care bash at the Colony Club in Hollywood Wednesday.

"You can find ten reasons why she deserves it and why Brandy deserves it," Louis Van Amstel told Us. (Brandy was famously shown the door on Tuesday and told Us Thursday she's feeling "better.")

"Brandy is the better dancer," Amstel admitted. "But then again, Bristol had to fight for several weeks to be accepted as Bristol and not Sarah Palin’s daughter."

Said former DWTS champ Kym Johnson: "She's had a different journey [from] Brandy -- she had no dance experience, so I think Bristol's what the show's all about."

"You're talking about a girl who had a regular job, worked in some office and...suddenly you throw her in front of millions of people," argued Sharon Osbourne. "She might as well be naked! People are really harsh on that young girl. It's not fault. [It's] her family, where she comes from. Give her a break!"

Sharon's famous daughter, one-time DWTS finalist Kelly, says she and Palin have had "very similar" experiences on the show.

"I had no dance experience coming onto that show, and I feel like we were both equally scared and equally insecure," Kelly told Us. Does Kelly think Bristol deserves to be there?

"Of course I do," the 25-year-old said. "She come [onto the show] so raw."

SHE is NOT the underdog.. Geesh you dont come from a political family and pretend to be just an every day person like every other teen. Kyle is the one who should win and everyone who doesn't want bristol to win better get on the phones and have your friends neighbors and relatives vote too..

DWTS need to re-think their Voting criteria. If Bristol remains a finalist, what do we tell Florence Henderson about her hard work and at her age (72). When she was voted off she was a pretty good dancer, far better than Bristol.

We accepted Bristol as a contestant because of her mother's celebrity status. Teen Moms in Chicago are not considered to be STARS, on the contrary, they are everything but. The primary purpose of dwts is to use professional dancers to turn STARS into wonderfully beautiful DANCERS. All prior winners were DANCERS in the end. Bristol CAN NOT DANCE, if this foolishness continues, they'll need to change the name of the show. What about sportmanship? Brandy has become a DANCER. Sara Palin hijacked the show, she should have danced.

Hey Lori, mind your own business.

Bristol is bold & beautiful. Sarah is smart & stylish. Willow is winsome & wonderful.

why dont you quit like your mother did. then you all can even get richer. OMG only in america!

This is not the first season the an underdog has made it to the finals. She's not running for office. It's a stupid dance show... it's not important enough to have a c onspiracy behind it. I can't even imagine being this worked up over something so insignificant.

all i got to say is if she wins that trophy she better give it to her mother because she won it for her......and another thing, she is not the best dancer, she is like the sanjaya onDTWS

Wow this world is filled with sooo many haters!! Ppl tend to get grazy over this stupidest things, a man from wisconsin took a gun to his tv bc brandy went home instead of bristol. seriously folks its just a show and if u dont like the results dont watch it ..that simple! BTW...Kyle's got my vote.

Suzie, You need to get your info straight both of them said it... I read the whole thing. If her name wasnt Palin she would have been gone a long time ago.

  • November 19, 2010 - 2:13pm Elsa Caceres

the point is ...Bristol should have left long time ago...momma is helping her stay...would not be surprised if she wins it all!...smart girl...using these opportunity to give her exposure and who knows?

  • November 19, 2010 - 2:12pm Laura Myers

Sarah Palin is not doing herself any favors by calling the people she wants to vote for her in 2012 'silly'. Bristol can't dance...end of story. She is like a stick of wood with little movement and no expression whatsoever. Now if only the Palin's would take their overextended 15 min and fade into blackness. Oh...and they can take the tea baggers with them!

Jennifer dows have dance training - - se he wiki page: Here is a paragraph straight from it. "Born in New York City, Grey is the daughter of stage and screen actor Joel Grey and the former actress/singer Jo Wilder.Grey is of jewish descent from fathers side. Grey is the granddaughter of comedian and musician Mickey Katz. She is an alumna of the Dalton School, a private school in Manhattan, and studied both dance and acting."

  • November 19, 2010 - 1:51pm Lori Corsello-Hannan

Jeanie - Jennifer Gray has no "dance background". She did ONE movie with a few dance scenes that she had to LEARN. And hers is not a "dancing family". It is a BROADWAY FAMILY. Big difference. And who gives a damn if people in her family may have dance experience? That doesn't make HER a dancer, it makes THEM dancers.

  • November 19, 2010 - 1:49pm Lori Corsello-Hannan

Corey McGruder - Are you high??? The "People's Dancer"?? Sure, if by people you mean the hordes of tea-freaks who stack the voting by using multiple phones and email addresses, THOSE CHEATING PEOPLE, then yeah, I guess she is. I guess the difference is that the rest of us play by the rules and we don't cheat to get our way. But the right has plenty of experience with THAT, right?

  • November 19, 2010 - 1:45pm Lori Corsello-Hannan

Hey Jean. Your comments are there, quit complaining.

  • November 19, 2010 - 1:44pm Lori Corsello-Hannan

Silly Sarh. We didn't say your daughter is a diva. We said she CAN'T DANCE. See the difference?

  • November 19, 2010 - 1:22pm Jean Steele-Wren

If I say that I love Bristol and her mommy, will you post that? My other posts with my real feelings keep disappearing. Interesting.

  • November 19, 2010 - 1:20pm Jean Steele-Wren

My comment appears to have disappeared as well. Anyway, I really hope the best STAR DANCER wins. And we know it's not Bristol.
