Video: See The Situation Perform Most "Bizarre" Dance of the Night

We've got a weird situation.

On Monday's Dancing With the Stars, Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino performed a wacky version of the foxtrot that had the judges scratching their heads.

The week's theme was "story night," so he and partner Karina Smirnoff (who danced to the Black Eyed Peas' "Boom Boom Pow") chose to use a time machine as a prop to tell a story through time.

Carrie Ann Inaba liked it, calling it "boom boom wow." But Len Goodman was more critical: "If that's your future, I am glad I live in the past. I don't wanna be nasty, but if you were dancing in my backyard, I'd have to draw the curtain. It was a bizarre performance." Bruno Toniolo called it a "land of the lost fox trot," though he added it was "entertaining ... in a very weird way."

The Situation got a 20 out of 30, barely beating out the night's other closely watched contestant, Bristol Palin, whose foxtrot earned her a low 19 out of 30 ("I didn't quite get it," Carrie Ann said of Bristol's routine).

Margaret Cho was the night's lowest scorer, with 18 out of 30. The night's highest: Audrina Patridge, who earned a stellar 26 out of 30.

The Situation is trying hard but he is not much of a ballroom dancer. Bristol is way better than he is. So many complaining about her being on the show, ask the producers why they brought her on. I don't blame her a whit for taking them up on the offer, she will make some decent money which is a good thing for a young mother. She also has actually danced very well considering. I'm not a U.S. citizen so politics has nothing to do with my comment. Bristol will be safe tonight, the Situationa and Margaret Cho will be in the bottom two.

Bristol and The Situation can't dance at all

I think that with a lot more practice "The Situation" can become an ok dancer. He has more rhythm than Bristol. Kudos to both of them. My question is why is Bristol on there? She isn't a "Star"? I'm not being funny; I'm so serious. The Situation is part of a reality show. Bristol? She is considered a Star because her Mom ran for Vice President and lost? ? ? I think she is doing very well for someone who hasn't danced, or acted before. She gets a 10 for trying and learning so fast; but to put her on there with Stars who has some entertainment experience really isn't fair to her. Oh well. I applaud them all. Go Brandy, Fox, Jennifer!

I think Bristol needs to go home and raise her child and stop making teen age mommy hood so appealing..
