Margaret Cho was eliminated on Dancing With the Stars Tuesday.
She and partner Louis van Amstel had the lowest score on Monday's show - 18 out of 30 - for their samba.
"I thought the judges were hard on me, but I think [they saw] that I am a dancer for real," she said after her elimination. "I will take that with me forever, thank you so much."
Cho, 41, said her partner was "the best teacher," and she thanked him for "the opportunity to let me dance."
Said van Amstel, 38, "I love her. She put her heart out on the dance floor ... our journey hasn't finished."
After Monday's show, Cho told UsMagazine.com, "I am not an athlete, I am not in the same physical shape as some of the people here. I am a work in progress, but I am learning and growing! I am trying as hard as I can, and that's all I can do."
Though she wasn't a top performer, she told Us she loved how the rehearsing was helping her improve her body.
"I feel really good," she said. "We work out by dancing so much. And we're on the road traveling so it's constant motion. I love it! I love being so active. No matter what happens in this competition, I am always going to stay physically active. It's adding years to my life and making me feel so much better."
