So long, Situation.

Mike Sorrentino, star of MTV's hit Jersey Shore, was voted off Dancing With the Stars Tuesday.

"It is what it is," he said after he was given the boot. "I tried my best, and at the end of the day, somebody had to go home."

"I am not a dancer, and I tried to practice," he later said, adding that learning the routines was "definitely hard."

He said he was pleased with the way he came across on the hit ABC show -- a stark contrast to his wild partying persona on MTV's Jersey Shore. While Jersey Shore gave fans a "keyhole" into who he is, he said with Dancing With the Stars, "you really got to see the whole Situation."

He was much more composed Tuesday night than Monday night when he and partner Karina Smirnoff got the lowest scores for their tango. (Judge Bruno Tonioli called it "a terrible mess"; Carrie Ann Inaba said it was a "rough ride.")

Later in the night, The Situation, 27, stormed off set and was spotted sulking in the parking lot, smoking a cigarette and shaking his head while a friend tried to console him.

"I really did try my best and hopefully the viewers saw that," he told Us backstage. "I really put in the work and practiced, and I hope they put us through to the next week because I tried so hard."

He needed to stop get over himself, forget the hip hop attitude, and his ego ( I can dance they don't know what they are talking about) and then he may have learned something. I am sorry for Karina, she tried to teach the unteachable.

About time! He may have given it an effort, but the site of him disgusts me. I've seen plenty of men with nice abs that are HOT, put them on the show, not this ugly mut, Ugh! He's a walking std! Gross!

This was long overdue. The Situation was worse than the Hoff and Margaret Cho. As far as Bristol, I'm shocked she lasted as long as she has. My guess, next week is the end of the road... Unless she makes it til Election Day!

"The Situation" really needed to be voted off. If Bristol doesn't pick up her game, she needs to go next. Yes, I'm a good Republican, but man, we're talkin' about DANCE, here.
