Taylor Swift Falls on a Treadmill After Rapping Too Hard in Hilarious New Apple Music Ad

Shake it off? In a hilarious new Apple Music commercial released on Friday, April 1, Taylor Swift gets a bit gangster — but accidentally hurts herself in the process!

In the ad, titled “Taylor vs. Treadmill,” the Grammy winner, 26, reveals her distaste for running. “Man, I hate cardio,” she says in a voice-over at the start of the one-minute clip. Thankfully, the “Wildest Dreams” singer has a killer soundtrack to put her paces to.

Choosing a decidedly urban playlist called “#GYMFLOW,” the country cutie turned pop superstar starts jogging to the sound of Drake and Future’s hip-hop jam “Jumpman.” Soon, she begins rapping along with the song, chanting the lyrics like a boss.

Unfortunately, however, T. Swift gets lost in the music and before she can finish the first verse of the track, she trips and face-plants in what looks like a very painful fall. But even after taking a tumble, the athleisure-clad star continues to spit rhymes from the floor: “Chicken fingers, french fries for them hoes that wanna dis.”

The relationship between Swift and Apple Music has certainly come a long way. Prior to her participation in the company’s “Distractingly Good” campaign, Calvin Harris’ girlfriend publicly expressed her disappointment in the streaming service by writing an open letter published on June 21, 2015.

“I’m sure you are aware that Apple Music will be offering a free 3 month trial to anyone who signs up for the service. I’m not sure you know that Apple Music will not be paying writers, producers, or artists for those three months,” she penned. “I find it to be shocking, disappointing, and completely unlike this historically progressive and generous company.”

Swift’s complaints inspired immediate change. Days later, the company’s senior vice president of internet software and services, Eddy Cue, reportedly reached out to the musician to inform her that the company was amending its policy, and subsequently took to Twitter to break the news of the shift.

Apple Music is currently the only online streaming service to offer Swift’s catalog of hits. On December 20, the tech giant exclusively premiered her 1989 World Tour Live concert special.
