Alec Baldwin is staying put — at least for now.
The recently engaged actor, 54, alarmed 30 Rock fans when he tweeted that he would be "leaving NBC just in time" after the TODAY crew showed up outside his New York City apartment.
But Baldwin — who is under contract for another season — won't be exiting the Emmy Award-winning comedy anytime soon. Series star and co-creator Tina Fey, 41, shed a little light on what Baldwin's tweet meant during an appearance on The View Thursday.
"As far as I know, he's not leaving the show. We're all in this together till the end," Fey explained. "I think he just maybe means that the end of the show is visible on the horizon."
She added: "We can't do this for 35 years. We'd love to keep going and kind of see where everybody ends up, but you don't want to see me with a gray stripe [in my hair], eating a slice of pizza, going on dates."
