Lady Luck was all over Matt DeSanto on Friday, Dec. 26. The Wheel of Fortune contestant solved puzzle after puzzle on the ABC game show, breaking a series record and wowing even host Pat Sajak with his incredible guessing prowess.

His most incredible guess came early on the show, when he solved a 13-letter puzzle with just one "E" on the board and the category hint "Character." Buzzing in seconds after the puzzle appeared on the board, DeSanto nailed the answer on his first try.

"I don't want to cause trouble at home, but I think there's a connection with you and Vanna," Sajak joked.

DeSanto went on to correctly solve every other puzzle during the main game, racking up a record $91,892. That total makes him the biggest main-game winner in the show's 39-year history, according to reports.

Asked what he'd done to prepare, the Pennsylvania resident told, "Maybe some extra crossword puzzles. I tried not to overthink it too much."
