"All you need is a laptop, some talent, and one track." So says Zac Efron in the new, just-released trailer for Max Joseph's upcoming movie We Are Your Friends, about an aspiring EDM DJ looking for his ticket out of the Valley.

The Neighbors actor, 27, stars as the DJ in question, Cole, who's in constant pursuit of that elusive one track that will change his life. In the meantime, he's spinning at parties and fielding requests for Beyonce tunes.

"It's the DJ's job to get the crowd out of their head and into their bodies," Efron, channeling Calvin Harris, says in a voiceover. "Once you've locked onto their heart rate, you start bringing them up, song by song — 128 beats per minute, that's the magic number."

Speaking of magic, there's definitely some brewing between Efron's character and the bombshell played by Gone Girl actress and "Blurred Lines" video vixen Emily Ratajkowski. Things start heating up from the moment they lock eyes in the trailer, culminating in a blink-and-you'll-miss-it makeout at the 2:10 mark.

We Are Your Friends also costars Wes Bentley, Jonny Weston, and Jon Bernthal. It's due to hit theaters this August. Watch the trailer above!
