Releasing his first album as part of the band Kara's Flowers in 1997 as a high school senior, Levine went on to form Maroon 5 after dropping out of college. Finding songwriting inspiration while working as a writer's assistant on TV's Judging Amy, Levine later went on to tour with acts including John Mayer.
