Brooklyn Decker “Burst Into Tears” Seeing SI Swimsuit Cover

How did Brooklyn Decker react when she learned that she landed her first-ever Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue cover?

"I burst into tears like a child," she said on Monday's Today show. "It's really exciting. It's just now hitting me, so I am really happy."

The 22-year-old North Carolina-raised model – who has posed for the magazine for the past five years (last year, she wore nothing but body paint) – said she feels like "the New Orleans Saints did Sunday night."

Landing the coveted cover is "the equivalent of a model winning the MVP or the Super Bowl," she added. (Click here to see Decker and the other stunning SI swimsuit models.)

She said she doesn't even remember slipping into the yellow bikini she wears on the cover.

"I have no memory of that shot," said Decker, whose cover was first unveiled Monday on the Late Show With David Letterman. "For me, I didn't remember, and that is what's so nice about it — it's one of those natural, nice organic moments."

How does her husband, tennis pro Andy Roddick, feel about it?

"I think he basically takes the reign in the locker room for the next year or so," she said. "I think he has good bragging rights."

Joking aside, she said he's "very proud. He knows it's a goal of mine. To see me succeed, and to see each other succeed, it's really exciting."

Roddick, 27, could barely contain his excitement on Twitter. "so happy/proud of my wife…" he wrote. "the new cover for sports illustrated swimsuit issue!!!! unreal… so excited!!!!!!!!!!"
