  Some of your playboy comments are ridiculous people....if you knew anything about Joanna you would know that she was already in Playboy( prolly 5 years ago) and she was and maybe still is the #1 swimsuit model in the world.....Look it up people!

  @ray If it was just a popularity contest, they wouldn't have to dance at all. It's supposed to be a dance competition for famous people. If you think it's not about dance, why do you mention the footwork? Anyway, footwork is just one part of the whole dance routine. The most important, especially in DWTS, is the overall impression, grace and performance. She was the best at that. She made mistakes because her dance was more difficult. Derek wanted the best out of her. Only Mya was a competition, but she lacked grace, she was good in some details (pro tap dancer), but much weaker in overall impression.

  One. It was always a popularity contest not a dance competition, these are celebrities not dancers. and two. Joanna was good for the average person, but she was not great and not any better than most of the other celebrities. Her feet were all over the place. It looked like derek was dragging her around the floor.

  They became the best couple in the show history. Paso Doble and Waltz are unbeatable... It's almost pro dancing. Len said that they have a hold of pro dancers. And that's only after a few weeks of practice.... The show has now become a joke... It's a popularity contest, not a dance competition... If Osmond goes as far... :)

  Joanna was voted off because yes, she is full of herself which was obvious all these weeks but the real issue is her skill of dancing. She does not not have the overall skill in all dances - many pauses in latin dancing, I could hardly stand to watch the full two-step dance. She did not demonstrate enough growth in dancing - just growth in publicity and a playboy offer. Derke is a genius choregrapher and dancer - he brought Joanna a long ways.

  Joanna was the second best celebrity dancer on the show. She should have come in second place. Love kelly but she is rather stiff. Donny is just plain boring. Mya clearly is the best of them all. I thought she was one of the professional dancers on the show--she's that good.

  Hough is an excellent dancer but sooooo full of himself. Dump the ego, dude. Joanna had a great teacher but no fans. Not to mention, she really was not that good of a dancer. Such is life. Donny should have gone...the Osmond family is ANNOYING!

  people didn't vote for her because she doesn't have a lot of fans. Donny and Kelly are really the ones to beat right now b/c of their fans. I am all for D-Mya but Kelly and Donny fans are keeping them in.

  Joanna should have advanced over Kelly and even Donny. People didn't vote for her because she posed in Playboy isn't true, they didn't vote for her because they aren't fans of hers.

  The free style dance will decide it all, it often does. Mya is very controlling and it is not resonating well with the fans. She needs to lighten up on her partner, its such a turn off seeing how controlling she is being and her "win at all costs" attitude. Kelly and Donny are having way more fun and it shows, fans like that and they both will admit when they screw up. Mya is definately the better dancer but a lot of voters feel she has an advantage and they don't like it. It's still anyone's mirror ball trophy.

  I'm bummed too that Joanna and Derek were eliminated. They are so much fun to watch dance. Joanna was by far a better dancer (and entertainer) than Kelly (and Louie). But I definitely "get" why Kelly got more votes; she is more "every woman", flawed and more relatable than Joanna. I love that Kelly is improving but she's not the dancer that even Donnie is, much less Mya. Though I will say that Mya may get beat for the same reason Joanna did: lack of fan-base. Plus that woman, Mya, as hot as she is, has no chemistry or connection with Dmitri. You'd think that being an actor she'd be better at making a connection with him for the sake of the performance.

  My 9 year old daughter was so sad that Derek and Joanna got eliminated. She is totally in love with him...can you blame her!
