Ouch!

Shortly after making her Dancing With the Stars debut Tuesday night, actress Debi Mazar tore a muscle in her neck and is now wearing a neckbrace.

"Dwts!!after premiere.hospital.I'm ok.torn muscle in neck to chest!," Mazar, 45, Twittered on Wednesday after dancing the foxtrot with pro partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy. "Foxtrot..cruel&sadistic If only judges knew."

Still, the actress insists she's having fun on the ABC hit's ninth season.

"The whole thing has been a blast, and the fact that [partner] Maks [Chmerkovskiy] has not stabbed me yet is a miracle," Mazar, told Usmagazine.com of practicing her foxtrot and salsa moves for this week's show.

"The day that I finally learned [to keep quiet], my dancing got so much better," she added. "I learned the foxtrot in three days as opposed to the other one, that took me four weeks."

Earning a score of 16 out of a possible 30 from judges Carrie Ann Inaba, Len Goodman and Bruno Tonioli was a wake-up call, says Mazar.

"It was kind of refreshing to make mistakes because I really didn't want to. I'm a perfectionist, and my ego is invested in it," she tells Us. "It was a good lesson to learn -- how to kind of control my energy a little."

While she's still working on impressing the judges, Mazar tells Us she's gotten stage advice from an A-list pal: Madonna.

"We talk all the time," the actress, who danced in the Material Girl's "True Blood" music video, told Us. "She didn't even know what this show was! She doesn't watch TV, but she gave me great tips [and told me to] stay strong, stay focused, wear [my] heels, do [my] thing, be fabulous, be [myself]."
