  same fight I've been having with hubby....he says she isn't qualified to judge and I says she has qualities other than musical skills that still make her a good candidate. She knows about the entertainment industry as a whole and she can hear singing and know if it's good or bad. I like her and think she'll give us a fresh persepctive. She's the "every person" judge. Change is the only constant!

  Why don't we give Ellen a chance? I'll tell you why I won't: I love Ellen, but I hate the fact that Paula is no longer on the show more. Paula deserved a raise commiserate with the raise they gave the always horrible Ryan Seacrest. The powers-that-be didn't even negotiate with her. I can't stand Kara. She's condescending toward Paula. Paula Abdul who has loads of dancing and singing talent and who was a mega-superstar in her younger days. I've loved and watched Idol since it began, but last year was my last season if they don't bring Paula back 100%. I'm hoping that enough people feel the same way and those powers-that-be who pushed her out realize the mistake they made.

  Instead of being so negative why dont you people give Ellen a chance. I got tired of Paula being so nice all the time anyways, so I am excited about the switch. I happen to like Ellen and her show, she's funny, she's intelligent, and Im sure she's NOT TONE DEAF, so she can probably tell good singing from bad. She wont come unprepared and will probably bring more to the show! For thoes who say they aren't watching the show anymore.... THAT's RIDICULOUS... grow up, that's life, things change. Hey, they couldve done so much worse!

  WHAT...does Ellen know about singing???? This is just SO wrong on so many levels and it destroys the credibility of the show. The voting too...is just a big waste of time. When you can vote till your finger falls off then it is not about who is the best singer...but who is the most popular!!! Will NOT be tuning in.......Paula...dumb as she was....at least knew something about vocals and music.

  That group shot is one of the worse photoshopped promo pics I've seen in a while. This show is beginning to show its age and it's probably on its last legs. Ellen may be able to delay the inevitable for a bit.
