SATC 2 Stars Reveal Movie Secrets!

Thursday – September 10, 2009 – 7:49am

The new Us Weekly (on stands today) has all the juicy plot details of the Sex and the City sequel —as told by the movie's stars and on-set sources.

According to a casting notice obtained by Us, Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker) and Mr. Big (Chris Noth) — who wed at the end of the first movie — could face plenty of drama in the sequel (due May 28, 2010).

"Big loses a lot of money and takes a job in London, living alone in a one-bedroom apartment. Big gets really low and ends up in bed with another woman. After she leaves him, Carrie discovers she is pregnant," reads the shocking notice.

As a SATC source says, the followup movie "won't be predictable."

Meanwhile, Kristin Davis tells Us her character Charlotte York Goldenblatt will be dealing with two kids now after giving birth to daughter Rose at the end of the first movie.

"We'll have to see what that's like for her," Davis hints.

Cynthia Nixon's ambitious lawyer Miranda Hobbes makes a surprising career decision, while Kim Cattrall's Samantha Jones faces Jason Lewis (Smith Jerrod), with whom she split in the first flick.

"Yes, Jason is back!" confirms a source.

Promises Carrie's gay BFF, Willie Garson (Stanford Blatch), the movie is "fun, fun, fun! It's a celebration, and once again, it truly is for the audience."

For more details about the SATC girls — including why Sarah Jessica Parker snapped at photographers, how she gets along with her costars and seven pages full of amazing photos from the set — pick up the new issue of Us Weekly, on stands today.

Would be nice to see some reality in the next movie. For instance, Samantha contracting AIDS after all the unsafe sex for years. Or Charlotte and her upper scale white bread life going down the drain ... losing their fancy house and all her fancy things ... ending up in a shelter and getting off her high horse about "class difference." Carrie is just too into herself for her to be concerned for anyone else. God forbid she has a baby. She'll probably forget where she left the poor little thing while she goes shoe shopping. As for Miranda, she's about the only one who has any brains of the bunch. I only hope this movie will be the last. Even Star Wars had an ending.

Not too excited. Everything sounds so repetitive with over the top situations that just don't fit women of their age. Carrie pregnant? Come on, let's be serious now.

They should have stopped at the first movie. After all Big and Carrie have been through if he cheats I don't want to see the movie. Samantha at 50 plus needs to settle down. Her horny antics aren't funny anymore - just pathetic. They are all too old for this sequel. Are we going to see Big and Carrie fighting and making up in their sixties?

Does anyone have any idea who the designer is of Sarah Jessica's little black and red dress?

I am so excited about this movie. I love the show and I thought the last film was really good. And I am really happy that Smith is going to be in it-I think he and Samantha need to get back together.

I loved the series but hated the first movie, thought it was tres depressing. This one sounds like its shaping up to be the same... I'll probably wait til its on cable to watch, if I watch at all.

After all she and Big have been thru if he cheats that would suck & I'd probably walk out of the movie!!! Nothing wrong with letting characters "mature" over time. I don't want to see SJP's sour mug for another movie. Pleeez!

I wish Carrie would cheat on Big! if there has to be cheating. Love the show and the movie. Keep doing them!

Hopefully Carrie won't be completely self obsessed in this movie as well. Oh wait. She always is.

OMG, they finally gave us the Big and Carrie happy ending after 10 long years! WTF! I am going to be so upset if that is true and he cheats.
  • September 10, 2009 - 6:37pm Anonymous Says:

If true, I don't want to see it. I just knew they could not leave Carrie and Big to have fun and be happy. More of the same crap the couple always went through in the tv series. Ugh, I don't want to see it, how predictable. Infidelity again...nothing ever changes, a waste of money.

The show is great! The movie will be great! I don't believe the plot at all! They aren't going to tell us ANYTHING!
  • September 10, 2009 - 2:25pm Anonymous Says:

This show, these characters and their vapid values and foibles are becoming OLD. Not surprising that for Big and Carrie, when there's no money, there's no marriage. Money was the biggest draw for her being with Big. Otherwise she would have ended up with Aiden. Blech. I can't even believe I remember SATC history. LOL.

that plot spoiler is old news... i read that months ago. might not even be true. this new one is def gonna be funnier and crazier. you see them in the 80's outfits on the streets in nyc?
  • September 10, 2009 - 1:46pm Cindy Says:

The movie strayed from the show way to much. We knew these girls for so long and the movie took it all away and did it up for the general audience. Part 2 will be even worse...maybe in this one Charlotte won't poop her pants.

haven't they run out of a plot line already!!! As if the last season of the show wasn't bad enough, then they went and made a movie and now, yet another one. The show USE TO be good years ago. It is just now just a constant rehash of Big and Carrie and all the other nonsense. enough already.
