Britney Spears arrived at L.A. Superior Court Friday afternoon for a progress-report hearing on her ongoing custody battle with ex Kevin Federline.
She pulled up in her white Mercedes convertible (with the top up) shortly after 1 p.m. Spears — who was accompanied by her longtime pal Alli Sims — was swarmed by paparazzi. "They are on my car!" Spears (in huge sunglasses, a dark short dress and cowboy boots with her hair down) was overheard complaining to Sims.
After spending minutes struggling to park, she finally entered the courthouse a short time later.
Here is what is expected go down at today's hearing:
Spears' lawyer, Sorrell Trope, is likely to argue that the singer has complied with all court orders and should regain the 50-50 custody of sons Sean Preston, 2, and Jayden James, 1, which she lost on October 1. (Court orders include undergoing twice-weekly random drug testing, as well as attending co-parenting sessions with ex Federline.)
At a hearing Friday morning, attorneys for both argued about the issue of Spears’ deposition — which will occur at a later hearing.
Federline’s attorney, Mark Vincent Kaplan, claimed that he has asked Spears’ attorneys several times to schedule the singer’s deposition. (Based on Spears' testimony, Kaplan is likely to argue that Federline deserves primary physical custody of the boys.)
L.A. Superior Court Commissioner Scott Gordon ordered both sides to meet and set a date, but said Spears’ testimony would not be videotaped.

Kevin needs to focus less on getting sole physical custody and more on being there for his ex-wife that he allegedly loved (I don't buy it). All parental conflict aside, he is going to have to deal in 15 years with the repercussions of what he's caused on his children. Showing your kids examples of distrust and lack of loyalty at such a young age is very damaging. They need to, just like my parents did, put there differences aside. Marriages don't work out and they should see the two beautiful reasons for why even though it didn't work out that they at least gained something from the marriage- two beautiful children. Britney is trying to regain her life and the paparazzi and everyone else scrutinizing her needs to leave her alone. This isn't an after-school special movie, this is a real life custody battle with alot of heart ache and ppl need to let her be.

what is best for those babies is what is at issue here..not britts feelings i am sorry but that woman is a sad excuse for a mom she does not deserve to have custody she might be a good singer or entertainer maybe a good freind but shes a bad mom...nothing is gonna change that either you have a mothering instinct or you don't she does not.if she was a good mom she would know that she has to fix her self before she can fix her family and making those babies suffer threw court and more and more sh!t everyday and dramma and pantiless picture omfg it just goes on and on proves that she cares only about herself and not those boys ....go fix yourself then you can commit to your family.

well, sounds like that hearing is not going so well (from what tmz is saying) for her...i feel bad for that girl..they're putting her through the ringer...it's unreal..and where is her mother now??? she is never there...even Paris' mom was there..she's dealing w a mental issue, and then she's supposed to withstand and deal with this legal cr@p..Kevin is the biggest loser on this planet for putting her through this ordeal..maybe they should asign a female judge to this case..there's all guys on this case, and of course they're all going to think exactly alike..noone is really bringing in an alternate view there to break the group consensus (and her lawyer isn't do much for her it seems at all)..

Kevin almost got kicked off the set of One Tree Hill due to the 'aroma' wafting from his trailer ALL day. He was asked to stop smoking while on the set and his response was 'that's how I roll'.
