Lindsay Lohan Serves 84 Minutes in Jail

Lindsay Lohan checked herself into the Century Regional Detention Facility in Lynwood, California at 10:30 a.m. this morning and checked out at 11:54 a.m., L.A. County Sheriff Spokesman Steve Whitmore tells Usmagazine.com.

After just 84 minutes — only two minutes longer than Nicole Richie’s stay earlier this year — Lohan received “early release,” Whitmore says.

“She was nice and cooperative,” Whitmore says. “Everything was fine. This had to do with the August 23, 2007 sentence of 24 hours of jail time.”

The actress, 21, was sentenced to one day in jail as part of a plea deal she made for her two DUI arrests. The judge also ordered she complete 10-days of community service (she’s recently been spotted at an L.A.-area American Red Cross center), and attend an 18-month alcohol education system.

I used to be the biggest Lindsay Lohan fan in the world! I used to support her and watch and buy all of her movies. I think that it is TERRIBLE that she and Nicole Richie only had 80 some minute jail sentences! But hey, they are extremely rich. The only judge who had any GUTS to make the sentence stick was that judge in the Paris Hilton case. So, the lesson learned here is that as long as you're popular and have a whole ton of money, who cares!

Barbie, i didn't no you were Brittany's doctor. She is a drug addict and an alcholic that's why she lost custody and also why she can't drive with the kids now. Oh your right, she probably only has to take random drug test because she's only using perscribed drugs. For Amy d's comments, Brittany failed the test soley due to her taking a prescribed drug, Adderil. Get your information right or don't commennt. Also, Tweety, you go girl. I am a women in my early 40's, two kids of my own and I really think that everyone just needs to back off of these girs, both Lindsay and Brittney, in due time they will get it together. I think that Kevin's attorney must know the "not so smart" judge, bribbing him to keep making these really foul judgements against Brittany. Everyone in this society has done the same thing and they don't get persecuted as Brittany has. Get on with your own lifes and leave these gals alone already.

I think most people aren't interested in her anymore and don't care about her anymore. She's not in mags much, # of comments are low for her on postings. I betcha that is the WORSE punishment that LL has to endure!!! She must be hating that because for a person like her that craves attention, the fact that her star has diminished, that her fans are fewer, than she has to call photogs to take pics cuz nobody is interested, is probably what is upsetting her more than anything!! On top of that, she looks twice her, she looks rough now.

Now, I am certainly no fan of Lindsay Lohan's. The girl irritates me furiously. Her movies are blah and the bleached blond hair with fake orange skin is anything BUT attractive (and simply doesn't work if you are a natural redhead with freckles). Anyhow, I just had to post a comment and say that her punishment for cocaine possession isn't completely absurd. I was arrested for cocaine possession, and only received 18 months probation-no mention of jail. So, not trying to defend her in any way, but I've been through the legal process, am in no way famous, and she still seemed to have received a stricter sentence. Just saying.

I enjoy reading that she is startign to head back to the nightclubs.

I will be waiting to arrest her for violating her probation.

Rumor has it, she's out clubbing already --- probably drinking, she's too hardcore of an addict to feel secure enough to hang around with drinkers and not drink. Had she actually been 'punished' for this second DUI, she may have stood a chance. But, once again, she 'got away with it'. Very sad.

i think it's a joke and absolute insult to law-abiding citizens everywhere that these women who blatantly mock the law only get a blink, not even a slap on the wrist, for risking peoples' lives when they drive under the influence. the justice system of CA should be ashamed of themselves. i guess when someone dies as a result of their poor choices (both the judge and the offender), maybe then they'll actually get a week? yeah, that sounds good. it's a perfect sentence for killing someone, don't you think?

any type of addiction is hard to deal with i guess..i think LL will prob relapse a few more times before (& if) she can break the cycle...a friend of mine just joined gamblers anonymous..at first, he'd only bet on football games, pool games, the casino and what not...now he's gotten into HORSE betting although he doesn't have the slightest interest in horses other than betting on them..at a recent party he got all excited about getting pple to bet on the pool games there..when someone asked him how things were going at gamblers anonymous for him, he said that "gamblers anon is only for horse season!!!" True story!! lolololol...this has been going on for years with him, and it has only gotten worse and worse..at least he used to sort of break even when he did the casinos, but now, since the horse thing, he's in serious debt..but not even that seems to really make him wanna break this "habit" for real..story developing...lol...

This country's legal system is a JOKE. TWO DUIs and she gets less than 2 hours in jail....and community service. Great, so now we'll just sit back and wait until she kills someone before her obvious problem is addressed. Being busted for 2 DUIS means she's driven drunk probably dozens if not hundreds of times, but just got caught twice. COME ON!!!! If you go out to drink, take a cab, a bus, she can hire a driver.

I'm sure that every single person in America who has lost a loved one to a drunk driver is just thrilled by this story. Pathetic.
