I sincerely hope you learn from this Richie, I have also been a fan of BonJovi from the very beginning. I had a DUI 20 years ago. It can happen so fast and so easy. Alot of people have no idea, just a few drinks (like most people do) can get you arrested. I spent a night in jail and vowed never to do it again. And I havent. I dont even drink anymore. It was a horrible experience. Richie, I know you didnt mean to do this intentionally, but you have got to reach out and get some help. Im sure Jon would do whatever it took to help you. But you have got to want it. I also know that no one can feel another persons pain, but I do know, that God will help you if you let HIM. I will always love BonJovi... You have done so much for so many people, like the Katrina disaster. PLEASE HELP YOURSELF Love ya, Lisa-Indy

Richie Sambora's 10-year-old daughter Ava was in the car at the time of his DUI arrest Tuesday night, a law enforcement official tells Usmagazine.com.
Police would not confirm Ava's identity, as the incident is still under investigation.
Sambora's rep would not comment when contacted by Us.
"There were three females in the car, two of them were juveniles," Laguna Beach Sgt. Jason Kravetz tells Us.
Kravetz says Sambora, 48, was stopped at around 10:52 p.m. Tuesday for swerving on the road in Laguna Beach, California. His breath smelled of alcohol, Kravetz says.
Kravetz says Sambora conducted "a series of sobriety tests" at the side of the Pacific Coast Highway. "The officer formed the opinion that Mr. Sambora had been operating his vehicle under the influence of alcohol," Kravetz says.
Kravetz says the results of Sambora's blood tests will be revealed in about a week.
The Bon Jovi guitarist was released from jail at 4 a.m.
He will appear in court May 7.
TMZ.com first reported the news of his arrest.
Sambora — who split with Denise Richards last year — entered rehab, reportedly for alcoholism, last June. His divorce from Heather Locklear, Ava's mother, was finalized in April 2007.

I just read this not too long ago when my friend told me he was on tv and looked so haggard. I was just listening to "the answer" the other day and had my 12 year old son read it and analyze it -- my friend indicated for my son to be so astute at that age to pick that song apart like he did, it's too bad Mr. Sambora can't re-read them words to that song. If he needs help, by all means call me and I'll be more than happy to give him the printout of what my son did to his song. I agree with others -- Richie stay away from the bimbos, blonds, and models -- if you seriously need help, you're still only 10 years older than I and I've been a fan for over 20+ years.....READ THE WORDS TO "THE ANSWER" RICHIE!!!
Ok come on Richie Sambora is not the BAND. Yes, he is a major part, but good God some of you people act like the band went out and all got drunk and drove thier cars with Ava in them. I do LOVE "BON JOVI" and am concerned about the downward spiral that Richie is going through. I've been there and found help. I hope he does too. Thank God that there wasn't an accident there could have been more people hurt than Ava and the other child. After he went to rehab he seemed to look a little better but I can see the change back again even before his booking photo. I am still looking forward to seeing Jon and the rest of the boys though this Sat 4/5 at the Honda Center. Hopefully Richie will be one of the guys, but may be he has to lose one more thing before he gets help. Everybody has different bottoms. He may not have reached his yet.
Hello, ive been a bon jovi fan since their first tape came out(yes im showing my age) i will always be a fan. richie is only human. he will do what he needs to do to stay sober. if they are people in your life you tell you its ok to drink get rid of them. they arent your friends. you need to stay away from drinking altogether. we all fall from time to time we are only human. he is a stand up guy, he will do what he needs to. you will always have my support. i was always taught that we all do dumb things, we need to learn from the things we do. im sure his band and his family are behind him as well. i wish you well richie. god bless you. chrissy4915

what a horrible photo! i've always thought he was the best looking guy walking. his photo looks better than denise though. lol.
i have been a Bon Jovi fan since i was nine years old. I love the guys so much and their music is like therapy to me. It's a fact, drinking and driving is a BIG NO NO!!! He apparently made a wrong choice but he's just like me and you --- HE'S HUMAN! I'm With You Richie 100%! PICK yourself up. It's never too late for everything! You CAN Do IT!! KEEP the FAITH! I WILL FOREVER BE A BON JOVI FAN!
No matter what, there is NO excuse for drinking and driving with your freakin' daughter in the car!!!!! (or doing it at all for that matter) But with the daughter and all, it's not merely a lapse of judgement anymore, it's just enraging and irresponsible. Yes, celebrities are under a microscope, but if I had a friend that did that, I would be horrified.
ALL YOU PEOPLE WITH YOUR HARSH JUDGEMENTAL COMMENTS. SHOW YOUR LOVE AND NOT YOUR HATE!!!*KEEP THE FAITH* RICHIE
Come on people!
This is his thing. Yea the situation sucks and I know all of us (die hard bon jovi fans) are sadden and disappointed but that is no reason to say you wont listen to the band again. he has had some problems and he has checked into rehab and kept tryin. unfortunately this happen. but this is his business. whatever happens either be with him or leave him alone. thats it. either way this is his life and everyone should just leave it there and respect that.
Richie iv loved and admired you for 23 &1/2 years
i don't condone drinking and driving next time get a cab for the love of god
i hope the judge makes you do a residential programme and alows you to finish the tour first
you hopefully have hit rock bottom and its now time to pick yourself up and dust yourself off and your fans will walk with you every step if the way
moving away from la is probably the best thing you can do
stop dating actresses/models and blondes they dont seem to be good for you
its a long and lonely road but you have to walk it but you dont have to walk alone ill walk with you
love and respect always and forever
First of all, he hasn't been "in and out of marriages" since 1990. He's only been married once, to Heather in 1994. I am very saddened and disappointed in what Richie has allowed to have happen but I've been a fan for 25 years and will continue to do so. Once the California judicial system has had it's say, I am hoping Richie goes into a long term rehab treatment facility. Right now, he needs to worry about saving his life and getting his life back on track with his daughter. Richie, don't worry about the fans okay? The true fans like myself will be here when you get back. No matter if that takes a year, two years, or 20. You're in my prayers.
Having been a Bon Jovi fan for many many years and also having been in the position to have spent a fair amount of time in the company of Richie and the rest of the guys, I'm truly shocked and saddened to read about this. Whilst I love Richie as a person, there can be no excuse for drinking and driving, especially with children in the car.
Of course all we know at the moment is that he gave a blood sample and not a breath sample, so I guess until the results of that are out, we shouldn't judge. I just hope that the results don't come back the way I think they're going to.
If the results show that he was in fact drunk when he was pulled over, I think that he should be treated in the same way as every other "normal" person on the street who gets charged with the same. I get sick and tired of seeing famous people get away with one thing after another.
On a positive note though, I truly hope that he gets the help he needs. I hope that this incident is the thing that makes him see what he's doing to himself and to the people around him.
Please get help Richie. Be safe and get well... There are too many statistics for drink driving. Please don't become another one.
I have been a fan of Bon Jovi since I was a teenager. Their music got me through many difficult times in life such as losing my own father at a young age. I have passed that love of their music on to my three kids as well but lets face the facts. As much as I love Richie's music and to see him perform, what he did was a choice and a stupid choice at that. Not only has he risked his life as well as his daughter and those around him, he has put the band in a difficult situation, he may lose his daughter over this and he has left many fans speechless and having to defend our love of the band to those who want to judge Richie. I am really torn over this because as a mother to a son who was literally ran over by a drunk teenager, my blood boils that he did this to his own daughter, but as a fan of his, I want to see him get help and recover from this. I for one feel if he is convicted of DUI he needs to suffer the punishment and I pray that this will be the rock bottom he needs to get help and recover from his addiction. This isn't a situation where double standards are needed or even helpful, he needs help and if getting arrested and putting Ava's life in jeapordy helps him realize he needs help then I am glad it happened and no one got physically hurt. I still love him and the band and will continue to support them and go to the concerts, but I refuse to make excuses for his bad choices and say he deserves another break.
Damn, Denise Richards is banging that homeless looking guy? Time to lay off the sauce, Richie...
To Dana Point, CA--
You're an idiot!! His daughter was in the car and he should not have been driving. It only takes a split second for an accident to happen. The next time you're drinking why don't you put your kid in the car and go for a ride--or better yet the next time you see nice guy Richie out to dinner knocking back a few drinks why don't you ask him to take your kid for a ride---you're soooo stupid.
why do these celebrities not just take a dam cab when they are drinking or hire a limo. God knows they have the money This is really getting ridiculous. Someone will die because of these selfish self serving people
Richie, May God grant you the serenity to accept the things you can not change, the courage to change the things you can, and the wisdom to know the difference. Please get the help you need. We'll still be here when you get back.
I'm torn on this one, but remember that in this country you are innocent until proven guilty. Somehow our society has forgotten that in the last 15 years or so (maybe longer, I don't know.) Don't judge too quickly.....oh yes we love to do that though (insert sarcasm). Hope it all works out for Rich, if not you'll get what you deserve - I reserve judgment until then. I'm seeing Bon Jovi in Denver on March 31st - we'll see how they handle it in concert.
This makes my heart feel very sad in more ways than one. I am a major fan of BON*JOVI and have admired Richie Sambora for many years. He is a superbly talented musician and a dear, sweet man, and a great person to boot. However, we can all be victims of our own poor choices and their consequences - no matter who we are! Obviously, this has proved to be Richie's turn in the pit. And I'm sorry about all the pain this is causing him and those who love him most. But I pray that necessary steps and proper treatment will make the difference once and for all, that Richie might be made well and restored to a healthy, happy, peace- filled life again. God bless you, Rich ~ be better soon ~ I love ya!
He's a low life just like Denise Richards
Went to a party Mom...
I went to a party,
And remembered what you said.
You told me
not to drink, Mom,
so I had a sprite instead.
I felt proud of myself,
The way you said I would,
that I didn't drink and drive,
though some friends said I should.
I made a healthy choice,
And your advice to me was right.
The party finally ended,
and the kids drove out of sight.
I got into my car,
Sure to get home in one piece.
I never knew what was coming, Mom,
something I expected least.
Now I'm lying on the pavement,
And I hear the policeman say,
the kid that caused this wreck was drunk,
Mom, his voice seems far away.
My own blood's all around me,
As I try hard not to cry.
I can hear the paramedic say,
this girl is going to die.
I'm sure the guy had no idea,
While he was flying high.
Because he chose to drink and drive,
now I would have to die.
So why do peopl e do it, Mom
Knowing that it ruins lives?
And now the pain is cutting me,
like a hundred stabbing
knives.
Tell sister not to be afraid, Mom
Tell daddy to be brave.
And when I go to heaven,
put ' Mommy's Girl' on my grave.
Someone should have taught him,
That it's wrong to drink and drive.
Maybe if his parents had,
I'd still be alive
My breath is getting shorter,
Mom I'm getting really scared
These are my final moments,
and I'm so unprepared.
I wish that you could hold me Mom,
As I lie here and die.
I wish that I could say, 'I love you, Mom!'
So I love you and good-bye.

Look, we can debate this all day. He broke the law & he'll have to pay. You may not agree with me, but I think the fact that he had someone else's child in the car along with Ava is even worse. I know I'm even more careful when transporting other people's children.
How the hell do any of you know what he is going through? He had a bad year last year and I'm not saying what he did was right. But unless you know what he has been through and what he is feeling who are you to judge!!! I lost my mother to cancer a month before my 16th birthday. I lost my father almost 2 yrs later of a heart attack. I know the pain and heartache he is feeling. I was an alcoholic by the time my father died.I still struggle with the problem 14yrs later. Idon't drink to get drunk, but I occasionally do drink. I'm glad to say I haven't had a drink in almost 2yrs though. But everyone really needs to stop judging him, give him his privacy, and let him deal with this himself with his family and friends. Don't be so quick to criticize and judge unless you have been in his shoes.Richie, I love you and always have. I've been a fan of yours since day one. I understand what your going through cause I've been there. Your fans are behind you 100%. We love and support you. I hope everything works out for you and you can beat this addiction. I was lucky enough to see you twice in 10 days in Pittsburg this month. You looked fantastic and sounded even better. You are in my prayers. I look forward to seeing you again real soon.Love Always Richie!!!
& its becuz of guys/girls like him that make deadly car accidents. & to do it with your daughter in the car! how careless can you get. you go drinking, get drunk, DRIVE recklessly, AND have your daughter and another juvie in the car. A shame you have your daughter, let the courts take her from you & give it to her mom. AND STAY IN REHAB YOU NEED IT!!
Rich come on not with Ava in the car. Please get the help you need before Heather does something drastic!!!! I am a huge bon jovi fan and wish you all the best. I have seen pictures of your daughter and she is gorgeous
Take care of yourself!!!!!
Richie get it together for you & your family!! My 9 yr old cousin was killed by a drunk driver 30+ yrs ago. One never forgets something like that.
Get some help. If not for you, do it for your child.
Come on, why do you think Heather dumped him? Why do you think he's been in AA? Heather's been on depression drugs for months. The botox, the lack of roles, the husband with a size 6 hush puppy in his rear. I'm sure she is livid. Don't be surprised if some yeh-yo is in the test as well as Jack.
Even the biggest rock stars are human. What he did was wrong, very wrong. And to make is worse, he had Ava in the car (along with other passengers) with him. I am a huge Bon Jovi fan, have been since the beginning. Each of the guys has been through their own personal battles. But through it all, they seem to have stuck by each other and have been supportive. The band will help Richie through this. But Richie, as one person said, has to hit rock bottom before he can really help himself. I pray this is his rock bottom. Richie, we all know (thanks to the media) you have had a really hard year. You are not alone. Many of your fans have been through things even worse. Please get the help you need. We, your fans, will be there to support you. You have everything to live for, but one really special thing to live for...your daughter. Make her proud of her father and admit you have a problem and get the help you need. We love you!
