British singer Amy Winehouse has been arrested on suspicion of assault, BBC News reports.
Police told Usmagazine.com: "A 24-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion or assault after attending a central London police station by appointment. She is currently in custody."
Her rep tells Us the "Rehab" singer, 24, met with London police Friday morning for questioning following tabloid reports that she allegedly head-butted a man who tried to hail her a cab outside a bar in London on Wednesday.
On her way to the station, Winehouse (who went to rehab in January) burst into tears when reporters asked how she's feeling.
"She looked a mess," an eyewitness told Us. "She was crying and moaning - makeup smudged all over her face."
Winehouse was forced to miss her husband Blake Fielder-Civil's court appearance Friday morning on charges of assault and witness-tampering.
During the hearing, a judge ruled that he will remain in jail until at least June 9.
He has been behind bars since November.

Does this girl know what a bar of soap looks like? Does she know what make-up remover is? It looks like she's wears her weeks worth of makeup. Does she know what shampoo and conditioner is? How about a brush? Does she even know what a shower is? Just looking at her makes ME want to go and take a shower. How about just looking at her makes me think she smells. The girl needs to lay off the drugs and alcohol...do that and than eat something, because she's in desperate need of it. If you bought her album, just look at her, you know where your money went....to support her drug habit. Yeah, she may not be the only one to ever do drugs, but just look at her, she looks disgusting. How in world do you become a media fixture, accomplish some good things and decide to do what she does and look the way she does? I say this to every celeb. I don't feel sorry for them....oh poor them....they have everything....money....nice home....this and that....and I should feel bad for them because? Amy made a choice and that was to get hooked onto drugs, no one forced her to be a c0ke head.

Nothing has changed with celebrities since the beginning of time, the media lens is just a whole lot wider and is on these poor kids 24/7. 4:40, I didn't say "poor Amy". That attitude is just as destructive to an addict as treating them like they are sh!t. There is a balance you know. Tough love. You don't have to be disgusting to a person because you don't agree with their lifestyle choices. And yes, doing drugs is initially a choice. But it gets to a point where your choice you use is removed, that is ADDICTION. It is not enjoyable and I doubt Amy is having fun. She is an addict. That is different from being a weekend partier. Anyways, you are pretty damn high and mighty. So you must have no vices right? I hope the people in your life are more tolerant of you than you are of others.

3:11, Fame has a price-namely, the loss of anonymity. Tax evasion, drug abuse, and assault are all mistakes that can be made by anybody. But Amy Winehouse, Wesley Snipes, Lindsay Lohan, etc. are NOT just anybody. They are world-reknowned celebrities and the reality is that when you choose that way of life, you can't live life and make mistakes like you're just an everyday normal person. The world is watching you. You have to be extra on your guard in terms of whom you trust and how you act in public or the media is going to chew you up and spit you out. Amy Winehouse's and Lindsay Lohan's situations are different from Wesley Snipes'; drug addiction is a disease that can make people do terrible things and for that reason, I do sympathize with her and hope she gets help. At the same time, when someone has been given chance after chance by their record label, family and friends and they keep acting like this, sympathy starts to fade. I guess it's hard to empathize or sympathize with someone who seems to have it all - record deals, money, fame - and just throws it all away for drugs.

The point is, celebs are human. So are you 3:06. No one is perfect and a lot of normal people can relate to these stories because these problems affect our entire society. Not just Hollywood. I doubt you live a perfect, holy life.
