William Bradley Pitt was born December 18, 1963 in Shawnee, Oklahoma and raised in Springfield, Missouri by parents Jane and Bill. He attended the University of Missouri majoring in journalism until he left to venture out to California to pursue his acting career, just a few credits shy of graduating. Before succeeding as an actor, Brad took on many odd jobs. He worked as a chauffeur, as a furniture mover, and as a costumed mascot for the restaurant chain El Pollo Loco. Since then he has catapulted into being one of today’s hottest leading men.

Pitt has been in a relationship with Angelina Jolie since the filming of Mr. and Mrs. Smith in 2004. He is the father of Shiloh Nouvel Jolie-Pitt, who was born May 27, 2006 in Namibia, Africa, and the adopted father of Jolie’s three children, Maddox, Zahara, and Pax. Pitt might have his second child on the way- rumors of a pregnant Jolie are buzzing in the star-obsessed air. Pitt was married to Jennifer Aniston , who he met in 1998. They announced their separation January 2005 and divorced October. He was previously engaged to Gwyneth Paltrow in November 1996, but broke up with her in June 1997.

This veteran actor, featured in 2006’s Babel, was nominated for a Best Actor Golden Globe for his dynamic performance. Pitt first gained widespread recognition for his role as a hitchhiker in Thelma & Louise (1991). He starred as the title character of Johnny Suede, and went on to appear in Robert Redford’s A River Runs Through It (1992) and opposite Tom Cruise in Interview With the Vampire (1994). In efforts to downplay his “pretty boy” image, Pitt played a scruffy cop in the thriller Se7en and a mental patient in 12 Monkeys (both 1995) for which he earned an Oscar nomination. Other notable films he has starred in include Fight Club (1999), Snatch (2000) and Troy (2004). Co-starring with pals George Clooney and Matt Damon, Pitt has been a part of the star-studded cast of Ocean’s 11, Ocean’s 12, and Ocean’s 13. In 2005, Pitt shared the screen with now-girlfriend Angelina Jolie in Mr. and Mrs. Smith. In 2007, he appeared in The Assassination of Jesse James. When he’s not on the big screen, Pitt is working with his production company, Plan B, that he started with former wife Jennifer Aniston and Paramount Pictures. Plan B produced the blockbuster Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and is working on a new film called World War Z. In addition to his production company, Pitt is involved with extensive charity work. On December 3, 2007, he announced plans to launch a new foundation, “Make it Right,” which aims to build at least 150 environmentally friendly homes by the summer of 2008 in New Orleans’ damaged lower 9th Ward. On March 16, 2008, Pitt, alongside former President Bill Clinton, celebrated the official start of this project.
