that poor katie girl is trying too hard to be sophisticated (with the oversized sunglasses and all) to the point of ridicule. and her trademark goofy smile is not helping. she has a lot to learn about class and elegance, but unfortunately she is doing it all the wrong way.

Some random FACTS about Scientology: (I live in Clearwater and have done plenty of research as well as having lived with them as neighbors for...oh..ever.)

Nothing wrong with vitamins and clean living, blah, blah...what makes Scientology a CULT is the way the treat people. Like all good lies it is built upon some truth. Before joining their group you have to fill out a personality test of several hundred plus question. They include fears and dislikes. The "Church" members stand out in the streets and solicit people to take these tests. They like to grab the young and impressionable ones best. (Better to play with a person's psychology that way.)

They segregate themselves from non-Scienos. In the case of Lisa McPherson it cost her her life...well provided she wasn't already dead, but they deny that. The Scienos drove her, knowing she was in critical condition, all through Pinellas County from their headquarters where she was supposedly kept. There is a hospital, one of the best in the state, within five minutes of their headquarters. They ignored that. They then drove past FOUR other hospitals to get to the one where they had a Scieno doctor who was in their pocket. That same doctor wrote out prescriptions for members without seeing them at the request of higher up church members. (Segregation and stripping one of their own identity is a dynamic necessary for a cult. Also why they travel on buses of their own, most lower rungers do not have their own vehicles. Also why they require uniforms to be worn by their members. Downtown looks like a fraking mix of Night of the Living Dead meets a Hertz fashion show.)

If a person speaks out against them, hell hath no fury. They hired a private investigator to follow one expert witness who was going to testify in the Lisa McPherson case. The group of investigators followed him nonstop for MONTHS before one was able to befriend him. Then once the investigator was able to access his home they looked for things to call the police about. They called regarding a pot plant that was found OUTSIDE on his balcony. They portrayed the drug situation to the police as one of a dealer. When the man was arrested for misdemeanor possession they pushed for the police to charge him with dealing and endangering the welfare of a child and child abuse because a school was close by. The trial lasted TWO DAYS. No conviction and once the state attorney's realized that the "Church" was pushing it they did not retry. Their typical response to people who speak out against them and get people to listen is to tear their lives apart and to harass them.

Their treatments that are required to make you better, to cure all that is wrong, cost a pretty penny. A few hundred for self help tapes. So if you do not have the money, as most young and impressionable people do not, you can work for them and they will provide you with a place to live. That place is a group of condos once independently owned, but bought up by Scienos and then fenced off from the rest of the world,. In these condos you will live in a typical condo bedroom that is furnished with as many as four sets of bunk beds. Many do not have AC. They are currently trying to buy up the other condo complex across the street one by one.

They have many commercials that run ALL THE TIME in our area. They are currently trying to expand into outlying cities and counties. Their commercials promise a cure for depression and alcoholism among other things.

There is plenty more and I could go on and on and on, but I'll stop.

i feel the sameway alot of you guys do about tom and katie they are overrated and a very strange couple and for a couple to just have a child together you would think they would bring her with them i find that weird and very disturbing

I guess it's got to be partly their fault for not showing that baby off right away. They increased the anticipation. Of course, they want to protect her. But they never seem to be with her at all. Katie's gallavanting across the globe and Tom's here and there and the baby's where? Obviously Tom shares custody of his other kids with Nicole. The baby's not alone. When I had my kids I didn't get to go to Paris and Italy to scout out wedding sites; I stayed home and took care of my babies. Oh, I guess because I WAS married already before I had my babies. It's different when you're rich and famous and can afford a nanny or three, I suppose. The rules don't apply to you.

There's a difference between public relations for a celebrity and outright invasion of every move they make. I'm sure if you were in his shoes, you would understand.

How is it possible that these two are new parents of this sweet little baby but that they are never anywhere in public with this child? How many nannies could they possibly employ and if they're so into their baby, why don't they keep her with them on their smoochfests? Are they bigger stars than Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin or Madonna and Guy Richie? Those couples never seem to have issue with having their children with them in public. It's like their baby is in hiding, 24x7, so that they can go about their business as usual.

I thought Suri was about 4 months old in that pic. She's a pretty baby and I have seen babies with a lot of dark hair like that only a couple months after birth (2-3). She is all TOM, though. No question. My kids all look like their dad--every one of them. I joke that at least we know who their fathers were, just not their mom.

Did ya'll know Tom went to the Seminary (studying to be a priest) when he was 14? Now no lude jokes here. He attended for one year. I guess his family led a nomadic lifestyle, moving all the time. Maybe he grew up conflicted and that's come along with him to adulthood.

We need a new blog... I am over this Tom Cruise, Katie Holmes love fest.
