The campy prime time soap suffered a slight sophomore slump in the 2005–2006 year (Alfre Woodard’s mysterious Betty Applewhite can’t compare to the Mary Alice Young suicide arc of season one), but there was still plenty to keep Housewives-aholics happy: Ditzy Susan (Teri Hatcher) beds her ex-husband, who’s now dating her rival, Edie (Nicollette Sheridan); Lynette (Felicity Huffman) becomes her husband’s boss; and shallow Gabrielle (Eva Longoria) has a miscarriage.
