Lindsay Dee Lohan was born in New York City on July 2, 1986. Her mother Dina, manages Lindsay’s career. Her estranged father, Michael Lohan has had several run-ins with the law, including an arrest for violating the family’s restraining order and a 2005 drunk driving accident. Lohan has two younger brothers, Michael and Dakota, and a younger sister, Ali, who was featured in her music video, "Confessions Of A Broken Heart." On May 26, 2007, Lohan was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence when she struck a curb with her Mercedes. It was later revealed that there was cocaine and alcohol in her bloodstream. On May 28, she entered rehab at the Promises Treatment Center in Malibu. On Friday, July 13, 2007, the actress checked out of Promises after successfully completing her 45 days of residential and extended care treatment. However, on July 24, 2007, Lohan was busted for drunk driving in Santa Monica. She was taken into custody at 2:25 a.m. after being given a field sobriety test. She was reportedly charged with possession of cocaine, driving under the influence, transporting a narcotic into a custodial facility and driving on a suspended license. On August 23, 2007, Lohan reached a deal with prosecutors, pleading no contest to two misdemeanor DUI charges and guilty to the two misdemeanor counts of being under the influence of cocaine. The deal puts Lohan on three years’ probation, while also stating that she must serve at least one day in jail by January 18, 2008, is sentenced to 10 days community service, and must complete an 18-month alcohol education program.

Lohan has been romantically linked with a slew of young celebrity bachelors, including Wilmer Valderrama of That '70s Show, singer Aaron Carter (who also dated Lohan rival Hilary Duff), and actor and Chapter 27 costar Jared Leto. Lindsay dated Harry Morton, heir to the Hard Rock Café franchise as well. She has been recently linked to Calum Best, a former model and son of European soccer star, George Best. In May 2008, rumors surfaced that Lohan was getting "extra cozy" with her best gal-pal Samantha Ronson.

Lohan has achieved A-List status and a boy-crazy reputation via her frequent nightclub visits and multiple magazine cover appearances, as well as a few stints in rehab. The young talent began her professional career at the age of 3, when she was signed as a Ford model. Soon thereafter, she began appearing in TV commercials for The Gap, Jell-O and Pizza Hut, among others. Her breakout role came in 1998 when she was cast as both twins in the remake of The Parent Trap. She has also starred in Freaky Friday (2003), Mean Girls (2004), and Herbie: Fully Loaded (2005). Additionally, Lindsay has released two albums: Speak (2004) which went platinum and A Little More Personal (2005). In 2006, she appeared in A Prairie Home Companion, Just My Luck and Bobby. In 2007, she starred opposite Jane Fonda and Felicity Huffman in Georgia Rule. Her most recent film, I Know Who Killed Me, released in summer 2007, bombed at the box office. Lohan returned to the small screen in a reoccurring role on ABC's Ugly Betty in May 2008 as a down-on-her-luck high school pal of Betty. For her performance, she was nominated for a Best Guest Actress in a Comedy series Emmy. However, she decided to withdraw from the race and is waiting to compete next season, when she is set to appear in six episodes of the sitcom.
