Things are heating up between Jessica Simpson and costar Dane Cook on the New Mexico set of Employee of the Month. Ask anyone who witnessed the pair holding hands at the Albuquerque hot spot OPM, where Cook and several pals celebrated his birthday on March 18. That night Jessica got cozy with Cook in a booth, according to a club employee.
“They were sitting next to each other all night and were in their own world,†says the source. “They were holding hands, laughing and hugging. At one point, they snuggled up really close.†Another source adds, “It looked like they were trying to keep it tame in front of everybody.â€
The pair got close again while taking in a 10:25 p.m. showing of the movie Inside Man on March 26. Although the trip to the movie was a group outing (costar Dax Shepard, CaCee Cobb and others also attended), the actress directed much of her attention to the six-food-tall funnyman.
“They were sitting really close to each other,†says a witness. “And at one point, she laid her head on his shoulder.â€
Jessica has been a fan of Cook’s for years. “When Jessica was with Nick, they used to come in and see Dane perform,†Jamie Masada, owner of the Laugh Factory in Hollywood, tells Us.
Seeing Simpson, 25, interact with Cook, 34, in recent weeks is a flashback to winter 2005, when the singer-actress battled buzz of a fling with Dukes of Hazzard costar Johnny Knoxville.
Only this time Simpson is single.

I don't know if you heard Dane but he said they were dating 4 years ago and no one cared or even knew but now that they make a movie together, everyone suspects that they're in love.
And Jessica probably isn't as dumb as she looks/sounds on tv so stop trashing her.
She's probably just getting paid for it.
And she's like one of the most beautiful girls in the world. And a few people trashing her probably don't matter much.

You've GOT to be kidding me! Dane Cook is so fine and so funny, he needs a quick and witty girl to keep up with him...so, basically, the antithesis of one J. Simpson. He's gonna get so bored with her any time he cracks an awesome joke and she responds with an "Um.... I don't get it.... can you just tell me I'm pretty again?" Screw that.
All I really have to say, is that I hope the rumors are true and they get together, and to all you girls here that think they have the slightest chance in hell to be with Dane, needs to get their head out of their ass...ITS NEVER GONNA HAPPEN. Oh, and (news flash) quite the comments about Jessica being "stupid" she's not stupid or naive, stop wishing and quite the jealousy!!!! They would be great together.
Well, at least Dane will get some GREAT material for his next act. Jessica definitely isn't the sharpest tool in the shed.

Before you guys get all crazy calling Jessica names and feeling bad for Danes girlfriend, you have got to know that most everything published is a lie. I know for a FACT they are doing just fine with no Jessica complications at all. People need to get a life of thier own and stop depending on someone elses fabricated life to have something to talk about.
Oh man, you people are just plain mean. She is a normal person just like yourselves, so what if you don't think she is very smart, who are you to judge? Do you personally know her? Or do you just know her from newlyweds? Honestly, treat her like you would like to be treated. How would you feel having 40+ comments written about you and how dumb and ugly you were? Jessica is beautiful inside and out, and as much as I love her, I wouldn't care to ever read an article about her again. Why? Because she's a REAL person. She should be allowed to go out and live her life day by day without having all of America read up on it and comment about it. Cut her some slack, jerks.
Well, that's Hollywood for you! It's just the one thing that really makes me mad is the fact that Dane already has a beautiful girlfriend and yet he has to go after someone else. I mean, if it's Jessica that's "seducing" him then that's a different story. But you know what.. you can't really help it. It's their choice. I'm a really big Dane Cook fan and I wasn't too happy when I heard about this but, oh well. Can't do anything about it.
Jessica Simpson is so stupid and blonde. Dane Cook is cool and very funny. I think she should lay her hands of him. And he does have a girlfriend, and she can ACTULLY SING. Jessica, aim your sights lower. It's one thing to flirt with Johnny Nocksville while your married, but going after Dane when he is already in a commitment, get a life!

jessica needs to kick back for a while and wait until her divorce is final. but then again, rumor has it the couple split last summer. the only reasoon why they didn't announce the split was b/c of the dukes of hazzard premire. also, i read somewhere that jessica got bizzy with her co-stars on the set of the movie dukes. one of the girlfriends of the guys called a radio station to put jessica on blast!

I screamed when I read this article. I adore Dane Cook and I'd hate to see him get wrapped up in the Hollywood craze, filled with hookups and divorces. As I'm sure most of us are, I pray to GOD this story is untrue.
