In 1995, Timberlake formed pop boy band N*SYNC with friends including former Mickey Mouse Club member J.C. Chasez. Their 2000 album No Strings Attached was the fastest-selling album of all time. In 2002, Timberlake's solo album Justified began his transformation from clean-shaven boy to edgy dangerous man, and improbably, the transition worked—mostly due to his music truly being good. After a scandalous appearance in Super Bowl XXXVIII where he exposed Janet Jackson's breast, Timberlake apologized at the Grammys - and also won two awards. His second solo album FutureSex/LoveSounds, which debuted in 2006, cemented his reputation as a top-selling sensation. And his recent role as Prince Arthur in Shrek The Third was also well received. On September 9, 2007, Timberlake won the Male Artist of the Year and Quadruple Threat of the Year awards at the Video Music Awards. In November 2007, he took home the American Music Awards for Best Pop Album and Best Soul Album. In March of 2008, Timberlake teamed up with musical sensation Madonna to record a single, "Four Minutes." The Timbaland-produced track - which premiered on Ryan Seacrest's KIIS-FM radio show in March - will be featured on Madonna's upcoming album, Hard Candy, out April 2008. Although the singer has made a universally known name for himself, Timberlake has not forgotten where he came from.
