Justin Timberlake

Justin Timberlake Bio Bio

Raised in Memphis, Tennessee, as a child, Timberlake was part of the Mickey Mouse Club alumni crew that included Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera and J.C. Chasez. Timberlake pulled off a successful crossover from N*SYNC boy-band idol to solo artist with his album Justified. Even more impressively, his music has not only sold well, it’s been critically appreciated.

Justin Timberlake in Love Love

During his N*SYNC years, Timberlake toured with and had a four-year romance with Britney Spears. After rumors of her being unfaithful, they split. He began a wild period of dating that included Janet Jackson (whose breast he later famously exposed during Super Bowl XXXVIII), Alyssa Milano and former N*SYNC dancer/Step Up star, Jenna Dewan. Timberlake parted ways with longtime love Cameron Diaz, whom he had dated since 2003, just before the start of 2007. Since the split, Timberlake has been linked with Scarlett Johansson (who starred in his "What Goes Around" video). He is currently dating Jessica Biel, who joined him on tour in June 2007.

Justin Timberlake's Career Career

In 1995, Timberlake formed pop boy band N*SYNC with friends including former Mickey Mouse Club member J.C. Chasez. Their 2000 album No Strings Attached was the fastest-selling album of all time. In 2002, Timberlake's solo album Justified began his transformation from clean-shaven boy to edgy dangerous man, and improbably, the transition worked—mostly due to his music truly being good. After a scandalous appearance in Super Bowl XXXVIII where he exposed Janet Jackson's breast, Timberlake apologized at the Grammys - and also won two awards. His second solo album FutureSex/LoveSounds, which debuted in 2006, cemented his reputation as a top-selling sensation. And his recent role as Prince Arthur in Shrek The Third was also well received. On September 9, 2007, Timberlake won the Male Artist of the Year and Quadruple Threat of the Year awards at the Video Music Awards. In November 2007, he took home the American Music Awards for Best Pop Album and Best Soul Album. This loved pop-star recently took him the 2008 Grammy for Best Male Pop Vocal Performance for his hit song "What Goes Around….Comes Around" from his 2006 album. In March of 2008, Timberlake teamed up with musical sensation Madonna to record a single, "Four Minutes." The Timbaland-produced track - which premiered on Ryan Seacrest's KIIS-FM radio show in March - will be featured on Madonna's upcoming album, Hard Candy, out April 2008. Although the singer has made a universally known name for himself, Timberlake has not forgotten where he came from. In March 2008, the pop star also became a philanthropist when he made two separate donations of $100,000 to his hometown's Memphis Rock 'N' Soul Museum and the Memphis Music Foundation.
