This is priced a little higher than what we usually have on this Recessionista blog, but I love the $168 Garnet Satin Sheath Dress because sometimes you will spend a little bit more for something special as well as something that can work season after season. What I like is it's a lovely holiday dress that's different than the 100 LBDs you have hanging in the closet.

The festive frock is from White House Black Market, the store that Michelle Obama likes to shop from. This garnet dress reminds me of a similar version that Marchesa put on several lovelies on the red carpet. Nicely, they sized it for us from 00 to 16.

I love the details and the subtle bow. Pair it with a slingback black pointy toe pump or open peep-toe pump. A few jewels and a nice clutch polish off the look. Maybe get a manicure and match your red or go crazy with a metallic silver or a dark color.

All in all, it's beautiful and is a complete entrance maker.
