Sophie Turner is embracing a darker look for the fall season.
Turner, 30, turned heads when she stepped out in London on Monday, October 26, for the 70th Ballon d’Or Ceremony at the Palladium theater and ditched her strawberry blonde hair for a darker hue.
Her brunette hair, which featured a hint of light brown highlights to give it an extra dimension, was styled down in loose waves.
To accompany her striking transformation, Turner walked the red carpet wearing a Louis Vuitton double-breasted black blazer and black pants. The look hails from the brand’s Fall/Winter 2026 collection, which Turner paired with Luna pumps and a Le Damier de Louis Vuitton necklace.
Earlier this month, Turner was all smiles when she waved to fans while attending the Louis Vuitton Womenswear Spring/Summer 2027 show as part of Paris Fashion Week. At the event, Turner showed off her chocolate locks in a sidepart and opted for an all-leather ensemble from the brand’s Resort 2027 collection to complement the look.
While the actress was originally known for her Game of Thrones character’s iconic copper-colored hair, Turner later returned to a blonde hue after the show came to an end in 2019.
“I’ve been dyeing my hair since I was 13, when I had to go red for Game of Thrones, so I don’t really identify with any hair color these days, although it’s interesting to see how the world reacts,” Turner told The Sydney Morning Herald in an interview published in August.
From Turner’s perspective, her “blonde gets the most positive reaction.”
“Red gets less of a reaction, but when there is a reaction, it’s pretty over the top,” she said. “And with brunette you’re a bit camouflaged, which I’m really enjoying. I get recognized less, which is great.”
Turner’s latest hair transformation has fans pointing the finger at her role in Amazon Prime’s Lara Croft: Tomb Raider adaptation, which is set to premiere in 2027.
In a photo shared via Prime Video, Turner’s Lara Croft — who has previously been played by Angelina Jolie and Alicia Vikander — sports a dark braid. The image showed Turner wearing a blue tank top with a strappy vest, which she paired with black shorts and red-tinted sunglasses. Lara Croft’s double guns are also strapped to Turner’s leg.
Turner celebrated the project by uploading the picture to Instagram in January, writing in the caption, “💪 #TombRaider #WardrobeTest.”
