No makeup, no problem! Gwyneth Paltrow celebrated her 44th birthday on Tuesday, September 27, by posting a natural selfie to Instagram.
The Goop beauty smiled broadly for the camera as she showed off her flawless complexion and tousled hair.
“#nomakeup for my 44th birthday, embracing my past and future,” she wrote. “Thank you for the instalove.”
Her cosmetic-free photo was met with plenty of approval, as fans praised her for the post.
“You look amazing, you are shining, I love it!” wrote one, while others called her “beautiful” and commented on how young she looked.
Despite often being red carpet ready, the mom-of-two isn’t a fan of makeup and recently revealed she prefers being fresh-faced.
“In the day, I generally don’t wear that much makeup,” she told the New York Times. “The culture in L.A.: You’re outside a lot, there’s hiking and swimming. It feels in a way that you’re more engaged with nature.”
In fact it seems her 12-year-old daughter, Apple, is the one teaching her about makeup these days.
“I often go out with just mascara and a little cheek. I don’t use bronzer.” Paltrow revealed before adding: “You need technique to use bronzer, highlighter and BB cream, all these things my daughter tells me about.”
“She watches YouTube. She’s very vocal about what she likes and doesn’t like. I sort of let her do her own thing at home. She loves experimenting. I obviously don’t let her out of the house with a full face. But I think she’s going to be way more into beauty than I am.”
