Natural beauty! Ahead of its annual fashion show, Victoria's Secret released a series of images starring model Jasmine Tookes modeling the 2016 Fantasy Bra. But, while we were busy obsessing over the $3 million 450-carat bra, we didn't notice just how raw the photos actually were — until now.
While the brand has been called out in the past for over-Photoshopping its models, these pics of Tookes, 25, snapped on October 8 in New Jersey, show off the Angel's natural beauty, including small stretch marks on her upper thighs. (That is a big deal for Victoria's Secret, but it really shouldn't be since we all have 'em!)
There's no official word yet on whether or not the company intended to released the raw images. Still, it raises the question: Will it follow in other lingerie brands' footsteps and promote un-retouched photos of its models?
Aeries stopped using Photoshop in 2014 as part of its #AerieREAL campaign, which featured celebrities and models such as Emma Roberts in their natural state. (Its parent company American Eagle has reportedly seen a 20 percent boost in sales.) Likewise, Lane Bryant's ads have featured its models, including Ashley Graham and Danielle Brooks, in all their curvaceous glory — no tweaking needed.
One thing's for sure: Even without the airbrushing, Tookes is stunning in the 2016 Bright Night Fantasy Bra. The piece, which was designed by Eddie Borgo, boasts 9,000 precious stones, plus a statement tassel between the cups. You'll be able to see the model rocking the work of art during the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show 2016, which will film in Paris and, naturally, have a Parisian Nights theme. It will later air on CBS Monday, December 5, at 10 p.m. ET.
