Kirsten Storms

Kirsten Storms is an American actress best known for her longtime role as Maxie Jones on General Hospital and work on Disney Channel’s Zenon films. Storms was raised in Central Florida, where she began taking acting classes as a child. When she was discovered by a talent scout, she moved to Los Angeles with her family to pursue her passion.

Storms launched her acting career via various commercials and television roles before landing the title role in Zenon: Girl of the 21st Century in 1999, one of Disney Channel’s most successful original movies that spawned two sequels. That same year, she joined Days of Our Lives as Belle Black. In 2005, she joined the cast of General Hospital as Maxie Jones, a role that made her one of daytime television’s most recognizable stars.

In addition to General Hospital, Storms appeared in Johnny Tsunami (1999) and voiced Bonnie Rockwaller on Kim Possible. She also received a Daytime Emmy nomination for Outstanding Younger Actress in a Drama Series for her work on General Hospital in 2009.

Storms married her former General Hospital costar Brandon Barash in 2013. They welcomed daughter Harper Rose (born in 2014) before announcing their divorce in 2016. In 2026, Barash was granted a restraining order against Storms after claims of her exhibiting concerning behavior.
