Princess Charlotte Elizabeth Diana
Charlotte is fourth in line for the crown after her grandfather, Prince Charles, her father and her older brother. Her royal highness is named after two women in William’s family and bears a subtle nod to her mother’s side as well.
Charlotte serves as a female version of Charles, which is in honor of her grandfather. It is also the middle name of Kate’s little sister, Pippa Middleton. The royal’s middle name is a tribute to her great-grandmother Queen Elizabeth II, while Diana is in loving memory of her late grandmother, Princess Diana.
The princess became a big sister in April 2018 when the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge welcomed their third child and second son, Prince Louis.
