When it comes to her work, Adele lets her Grammy-winning voice do the talking (or singing, rather). But the British superstar, 27, who is a week away from the release of her highly anticipated album 25, recently admitted she struggles with her share of insecurities.
“I do have body image problems, for sure, but I don’t let them rule my life at all,” the mother of 3-year-old baby Angelo told SiriusXM’s The Spectrum. “And there’s bigger issues going on in the world than how I might feel about myself.”
When it comes to finding her confidence, Adele has a philosophy she lives by. “There’s only one of you, so why would you want to look like everyone else?” she asked. “Why would you want to have the same hairstyle as everyone else and have the same opinions as everybody else?”
The singer, who won an Oscar in 2013 for her James Bond theme song “Skyfall,” just released her second single, “When We Were Young,” after the smash success of “Hello.” Her album 25 is set to come out on Friday, Nov. 20.
