Unfazed by the haters. Ariel Winter’s revealing Instagram photos always get both fans and critics talking, but the Modern Family actress insists she isn’t concerned about the commentary.
“Everybody is so hyped up on the fact that I post photos where my butt’s out. It’s a butt. Everyone has a butt. I don’t think it’s crazy,” Winter, 18, told Entertainment Tonight on Tuesday, August 16.
As fans know, the Los Angeles native isn’t afraid to show a little skin in her social media posts. In recent months, she’s made headlines multiple times for proudly showcasing her curvaceous figure in Daisy Duke shorts, bikinis and cleavage-baring dresses on Instagram.
“I don’t really think I’m telling myself, ‘You should post this, you shouldn’t post that,’” Winter explained. “I feel like I’m just having fun. I like my fans to see what I’m doing.”
She added, “It’s like, ‘Let me live!’ I’m enjoying my life, you’re enjoying your life. You should be posting your butt if you like it, too!”
The Sofia the First star, who also showed off her breast reduction scars at February’s 2016 SAG Awards, often claps back at body-shamers, but she says she doesn’t waste her time fighting back in the comments section of her risqué pics.
“I’m not going to fight with someone on my Instagram that tells me they don’t like my outfit or I should put my butt away,” she told ET. “I’m sorry you think I should put my butt away, but just unfollow me.”
Winter also clarified her relationship status during her interview with Entertainment Tonight, shutting down recent reports that she’s dating actor Sterling Beaumon.
“We’ve been best friends for 10 years. We’re not dating,” she told the news outlet on Tuesday. “We see each other every day, but no, we’re like, literally best friends. … I’ve just kinda, like, been single for a little while now. I’ve enjoyed it, and if something happens, it happens.”
