Ella Langley’s fans hardly recognized her in a video from just a few years ago.
In a resurfaced 2022 TikTok, Langley’s followers were blown away to see the country superstar doing her own glam before a performance to open for musical duo Big & Rich. The chart-topping performer had yet to cut her signature bangs and rocked a cozy blue T-shirt.
“Can’t convince me this is Ella,” one stunned fan wrote while others raved over her natural beauty. A second added, “When in doubt add bangs!!!” A third commented, “Dam the glow up hit hard. Good for her.”
In the clip, the “Choosin’ Texas” singer gave her fans a makeup tutorial before hitting the road. “I haven’t done a makeup get ready with me, like what I do for shows, so that’s what I’m gonna do,” she told the camera.

Langley started off her makeup routine with foundation, which she blended in with her hands. Langley then contoured her face and added a touch of color back in with a blush, completing her makeup routine by filling in her brows and applying mascara.
Langley has been open about her look, sharing in a 2025 TikTok Live that she got Botox in her jaw to help treat a clicking temporomandibular joint (TMJ), per Tuko News.
She also shared the story behind her infamous bangs during an April episode of Theo Von‘s “This Past Weekend” podcast. “I have a bad tendency to cut my own hair. Most of the time it goes bad — that’s how I got bangs in the first place,” she recalled.
Langley continued, “I was wearing a cowboy hat for a while, and then I took it off because it was windy one show and it was pissing me off. I decided, ‘You know what, I’m gonna take it off.’ And I like how my bangs were kind of around my face.”
“Like 20 minutes before I walked out onstage, I decided to cut my fringe a little bit, and it was so bad,” she laughed. “I was shooting the cover art for my first record that next week and [my creative director Caylee Robillard] was like, ‘[I] hate you.’ So I just told her full send it with the bangs. I don’t think I can ever change it. It changed my life a little bit, I would say.”
