Damn! John Krasinski showed off his newly bulked-up body on the cover of Men’s Health’s January/February 2016 issue.
The Office alum, 36, who shows off his biceps on the cover in a simple V-neck T-shirt, whipped himself into shape in just four months to prepare for his role as a Navy SEAL in 13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi.
“I gotta be honest: It was brutal at times,” Krasinski, who credits celebrity trainer Jason Walsh for his transformation, told the magazine. “We did tons of metabolic work, dragging sleds and all this stuff I’ve seen NFL players do.”
Despite the excruciating workouts, Emily Blunt’s hubby welcomed his new physique with open arms.
“I think there’s a part of you where you become addicted to it. I love feeling strong. You pick up your daughter with ease while everyone else makes a little grunt when they pick up their kids. I walk with better posture and a little more presence. I was more of a sit-in-the-corner guy. Now I’m a lot less of that.” Krasinski and Blunt, 32, are parents to 22-month-old daughter Hazel.
And ripped Krasinski is still seemingly as sweet as not-so-ripped Krasinski. While chatting with the magazine, he reminisced about one of his first dates with Blunt, when she invited him to a screening of her 2009 film, The Young Victoria.
“I remember watching that movie, and the entire time being like, ‘I wonder who she’s going to date after this?’” Krasinski recalled. When the interviewer apologized for asking so many questions about Blunt, a gracious Krasinski replied: “It’s my favorite thing to talk about.”
Blunt and Krasinski tied the knot in July 2010.
