Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom’s relationship may be hot n cold. But the 33-year-old American Idol judge couldn’t resist leaving her off-and-on boyfriend an approving comment on an Instagram picture of the shirtless actor.
“Oh hey!” wrote Perry on Thursday, March 29. “I was actually looking for a washboard to do me laundry on.”
In the sizzling photo the 41-year-old shared on Thursday, he stares into a bathroom mirror, his rock–hard abs on full display. It was a throwback from when he was filming the 2013 drama Zulu.
“#tbt captain ‘Brian fit’ for #zulumovie this photo saved not JUST for vanity but as a lil reminder that I got to that place and I know how to get to that place when I need to go to that place,” Bloom captioned the shot. “Diet-lifting-hours of #nopainnoagain and a #mindfulness presence and #focus that just won’t settle.”
Bloom, who stars in upcoming movie Killer Joe, noted that he has “nothing but respect” for the people who can maintain super-fit bodies. Wrote Bloom: “I try to stay close.”
Perry and the Pirates of the Caribbean hunk called it quits in March 2017 after 10 months of dating, but still spend time together romantically. The “Swish Swish” singer visited him in Prague when he was shooting Carnival Row in February and in August they attended an Ed Sheeran concern together. “They’re hooking up when they can,” a source told Us Weekly in February. “It’s very exciting.”
As Perry herself said in August on the Morning Mashup: “Well, you know, I think people are in and out of your life. It’s so nice to keep people you love around.”
