Layla Taylor hopes fans learn from her mistakes with plastic surgery, admitting she has some regrets after going under the knife more than once.

“I learned my lesson the hard way,” Layla, 25, confessed on the Wednesday, August 5, episode of the “Get Real” podcast hosted by Amanda Hirsch.

The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star revealed that with all the “things that I’ve gotten repaired now,” she realized not all plastic surgery procedures and physicians are created equal.

“So I’ve gotten my boobs redone now. Second boob job,” Layla said. “[The] first surgery I got was for free. Then the tummy tuck as well was for free.”

The reality star revealed that she recently had a hernia repair after a botched tummy tuck.

“Not fun. I got my tummy tuck about two years ago now, and just unfortunately the doctor I went to the first time didn’t repair it properly,” Layla explained. “So it caused … I still [have] a hole between my abs, where my belly button [was]. I’m OK. [But] it was brutal my first week.”

After all of the missteps, Layla shared, “My biggest piece of advice: If you’re ever offered something for free, just pay for it. Go to somebody that you know for a fact is going to do it right.”

She added in the comments section of the “Get Real” podcast’s Instagram post that she also had to pay a hefty price tag to get her work done correctly.

“Me having to pay almost triple the second time around to repair everything 🥲 hahahah,” Layla wrote.

Following season 1 of Mormon Wives, which premiered in 2024, Layla revealed she had a tummy tuck, lip filler, chin filler and Botox.

“I wish that I would have just given myself a hug and been like, ‘You’re fine. You’re growing up. You’re going to settle into your face one day,” Layla said on the podcast.

After choosing to change her appearance following one season on reality TV, she decided to walk it back.

“Then I got everything reversed. I got filler dissolved. I went and got all my things fixed,” Layla said.

Now that she’s had time to think about plastic surgery, she told listeners to “pump the brakes” and make sure to “think on it.”

“Give yourself a couple of months. If you still feel like you want it done, then maybe go get it,” Layla advised.

Layla previously opened up about her plastic surgery updates in March, revealing she wanted to get her breasts redone to reclaim her “confidence.”

“I’ve been thinking about getting my boobs redone for, honestly, since I got them done,” she said in a social media video shared by her plastic surgeon Dr. Daniel Barrett.

Layla noted that as a mother of two — she shares sons Oliver “Ollie” Clay and Maxwell Dean with her ex-husband Clayton Wessel — she wanted a “fresher look” and a more proportionate body.

“When Layla first had them done at a different practice, going bigger made sense for her height,” Barrett wrote in the Instagram caption, sharing why Layla chose now to go under the knife again. “But over time, she realized the size felt like too much for her frame and lifestyle.”

The doctor pointed out that Layla has a “very small band size,” but her initial implants gave her “a much larger cup size,” which ultimately led to the influencer “constantly adjusting tops and feeling like nothing ever quite fit right.”
