What breakup? Perrie Edwards is throwing up the peace sign and catching a tan following her split from Zayn Malik. Hours after news of their breakup broke, the Little Mix singer stripped down and bonded with bandmate Jesy Nelson.
“Phwoooaaarrrrr my WCW even though it’s not Wednesday,” Nelson, 24, captioned an Instagram photo of her newly single BFF on Tuesday. “My Perrie winkle!!!!”
Edwards, 22, wore a colorful two-piece bathing suit for the sunny afternoon. She pouted her lips behind green sunglasses.
Us Weekly confirmed that same day that Malik, 22, and Edwards called off their two-year engagement. An insider told Us that the exes are both currently in L.A., but won’t be crossing paths any time soon.
“He just wanted to move on and start over in all ways,” the source told Us. Despite Edwards’ cheerful pool outing, a second insider noted: “She’s devastated and torn up.”
Malik, meanwhile, is focusing on work instead of heartache. The former One Direction boy bander announced late last month that he’s coming out with new music. “I guess I never explained why I left , it was for this moment to be given the opportunity to show you who i really am! #realmusic #RCA!” he tweeted at the time. “#REALME.”

Some fans took his #realmusic hashtag as a jab, but it seems all is well with his former bandmates. He congratulated Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Liam Payne, and Louis Tomlinson on their new song “Drag Me Down” soon after.
“Proud of my boys the new single is sick,” he tweeted on Aug. 1. “Big love.”
