Ryan Phillippe, who split from Abbie Cornish in February, isn't in any rush for another relationship.

"I'm dating," he says on The Ellen DeGeneres Show Wednesday. "Sort of my emphasis right now is on the kids and career. I think it would be good for me to be single for a little bit. Yeah, find some focus, some personal focus."

Echoing remarks in previous interviews, he tells DeGeneres he's on good terms with ex-wife Reese Witherspoon, with whom he shares joint custody of daughter Ava, 10, and son Deacon, 6.

"Things are great," he says. "It is so important as divorced parents to keep that connection. It makes the kids feel better that the parents are interacting and with each other. We go to all the school events together, and we're there for each other. Also, in our line of work, you have to be flexible because from one week to the next. You don't know where you're going to have to be for a promotional tour or on location. We've done a really good job with that, and our kids are happy and healthy and doing awesome."

Witherspoon, 34, is currently romancing Hollywood agent Jim Toth.

Over the weekend, they packed on the PDA at Colin Hanks' wedding.

"Watching other people say their vows really brought out the love in them," a witness tells UsMagazine.com. "They were very sweet and affectionate."
