Is Snooki ready to say goodbye to her party past?
The pint-sized Jersey Shore star says she's cutting back on her excessive drinking (as seen on her hit MTV reality show) so she can slim down for the new year.
"My number one [resolution] is definitely to keep up with my training and keep losing weight and getting toned," she tells E! News. "I try to eat healthy. I just have to quit the drinking so much. If I do drink, it's going to be, like, vodka and seltzer…maybe like two or three."
Snooki (real name: Nicole Polizzi) says she's also been working with a trainer to maximize her weight loss efforts. "He kicks my ass all the time and I love it!"
So far, she's lost "five pounds in the last three or four weeks. I want to be where I used to be. I posted a bikini picture of me [on Twitter] and I was ripped. Ripped!"
When she isn't logging hours in the gym, Snooki is busy promoting Season 3 of Jersey Shore (premiering Thursday at 10 p.m. on MTV) and her new book, A Shore Thing (on sale now).
"I always wanted to write a book," she explains of her new career endeavor. "And like, in my imagination, I have, like, crazy ideas."
