Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi knows she has a good thing going with Jionni LaValle, and she's determined not to let anything jeopardize it. Speaking about their relationship — and her 42-pound post-baby weight loss, which she shows off on the cover of the new issue of Us Weekly — the 4-foot-9 Jersey Shore alum admitted to Us that one reason she hits the gym is to keep her fiance from hitting the road.
"Even though I'm busy with Lorenzo all the time, I still want to look good for Jionni, 'cause I don't want him to run away ever from me," the new mom told Us of why she worked so hard to get back into shape after the August birth of her son. "So I basically try to go to the gym all the time and train with my trainer and do cardio as much as possible."
The pint-sized former party girl, 25, is especially fond of Zumba and a class called "Buns and Guns." But she also uses playtime with Lorenzo to her advantage. "If you can't make it to the gym, you can always work out with your baby," she explained to Us, adding that she gets an arm workout by lifting her little boy. "He likes to go up and down. We call him Super Lorenzo so he flies."
For Snooki and LaValle, the hard part isn't finding time to work out — it's finding time to go out. "It's definitely hard to have alone time, as me and Jionni are parents, and taking care of Lorenzo is all about Lorenzo," she told Us, noting that the couple's most "romantic" moments these days involve cuddling up to a movie after their son is asleep. "Hopefully we'll get that spark back."
In the meantime, the new parents are content to dote on their little boy. "I love when Lorenzo laughs," Snooki gushed to Us of the toddler, who is just beginning to try to crawl. "When we tickle him, he can just crack up for hours. And that always makes me happy."
